The amla fruit, also known as the Indian Gooseberry, is a highly nutritious, greenish-yellow fruit with an intriguing, sweet yet sour flavor. The berries grow on a small deciduous tree with small branchlets. The resulting hydro-extract is then gently warmed in sesame oil, and the remaining moisture is removed. Separately, the seeds are expeller pressed. The resulting expeller pressed seed oil is collected and added to the sesame oil extract to produce the final Amla Oil. Present within the extract is 20-45% of Bisabolol (Sesquiterpenol), 5-20% Bisabolol Oxide (Oxide) and 1-3% Matricin (Sesquiterpene). Matricin, a sesquiterpene that is present within the CO2 extract but not the steam distilled oil, is reported to offer superior anti-inflammatory action to that of Chamazulene. Because Matricin is considered to be more effective than Chamazulene, less CO2 is often needed to achieve the same results and efficacy in comparison to working with the steam distilled essential oil. In addition to its essential oil content, it contains the heavier waxes, fatty acids, resins, color compounds and other non-volatile compounds. For topical formulations intended for adults, Essential Oil Safety Edition 2 by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young recommend a dermal maximum of 0.07% for Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil. The extract may be phototoxic due to its coumarin content. We suggest using a lower ratio when incorporating Cinnamon Bark Burmannii Total CO2 Extract in topical applications.

Aloe Vera Butter is an extraction of pure Aloe Vera using a fatty coconut fraction to produce a soft-solid butter that melts upon contact with the skin. It aids in the rapid hydration of dry skin. The tree produces pod-shaped fruits with colorful red, orange and yellow hard exterior shells that protect the numerous cacao beans that are housed inside. Praan Naturals Aloe Vera Inner Leaf Gel 1:1 Decolorized is processed and made in the USA by a processor that has received certification from the International Aloe Science Council (IASC). Pure Aloe Vera Gel is known for its ability to soothe, moisturize and protect the skin and hair. It is obtained from the inner filets of fresh, premium quality aloe vera leaves. It is processed to remove the pulp and fiber. The resulting gel is then decolorized, pasteurized, and preserved to give it a stable shelf life. Preserved with 0.1% potassium sorbate and 0.05% sodium benzoate.

Praan Naturals Emulsifying Wax is used to prevent oil and water from separating in creams and lotions. Emulsifying Wax is supplied in white waxy pellets or flakes, and it has low odor.
