SABIC's Specialties Business FLEX NORYL™™ Resin WCD944 is a flexible, non-reinforced extrudable blend of polyphenylene ether (PPE) and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). This material contains non-halogenated flame retardants, has performance capable of meeting the EN 50265-2-1 requirement, and is IEC 60754 compliant. FLEX NORYL™™ Resin WCD944 is intended for evaluation in wire and cable applications such as optical fiber cable jacketing. It has a Shore A hardness reading of 95 and exhibits superior thermal stability, very low water absorption, good electrical properties, and a low specific gravity. This product does not contain PFAS intentionally added during SHPP’s manufacturing process and are not expected to contain unintentional PFAS impurities. Each user is responsible for evaluating the presence of unintentional PFAS impurities.
