SABIC's Specialties Business NORYL PPE 640 powder is a medium-high molecular weight polymer based on Polyphenylene Ether (PPE). This material is intended for use as an additive or a building block in a variety of thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers such as Styrenic Block Copolymers. PPE powder can be used to improve properties (i.e. Heat Distortion and Creep Resistance). It is hydrolytically stable and non-hydroscopic (typically less than 0.2% water uptake). The polymer is soluble in common organic solvents like toluene, chloroform, and THF. ULTEM 1000F3SP powder is a RoHS compliant polyetherimide (PEI) powder offering a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217ºC. This FDA compliant powder is available in a spherical shape with an average particle size (D50) of 15 micron and a maximum particle size (D100) of 75 micron.

SABIC's Specialties Business FLEX NORYL™ WCD891B resin is a flexible, non-reinforced extrudable blend of Polyphenylene Ether (PPE) + Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE). This material contains non-halogenated flame retardant and performance capable of meeting UL VW-1 requirements, 80C end use temperature rating, and heat deformation performance as defined by UL 1581. FLEX NORYL™ WCD891B resin is intended for evaluation in wire and cable applications in dark colors. It has a Shore A Hardness reading of 89 and exhibits superior thermal stability, very low water absorption, good electric properties, and low specific gravity. Processing is typically conducted on standard extrusion equipment, and UL 1581 testing is conducted on 2.0mm wire with 0.12mm X 20 stranded copper conductor. SABIC's Specialties Business FLEX NORYL™™ Resin WCP921 is a high-flow, flexible, non-reinforced injection-moldable blend of polyphenylene ether (PPE) and styrene ethylene butylene styrene (SEBS) with polyolefin. It contains non-halogenated flame retardant and has a UL94 flame rating of V0 at 6mm. This material is intended for evaluation in over-molding applications such as plugs, strain reliefs, and connectors and has a Shore A hardness reading of 88 as well as low specific gravity, very low water absorption, and dimensional stability. SABIC's Specialties Business NORYL SE1X resin is a non-reinforced blend of polyphenylene ether (PPE) + polystyrene (PS). This injection moldable grade contains non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame retardant and carries a UL94 flame rating of V0/V1 at 1.5mm along with a UL746C Outdoor Suitability rating of F1. NORYL SE1X resin offers strong electrical performance, low moisture absorption, dimensional stability, and hydrolytic stability.
