1 of 21 products in this brand
EXTINITY® 0201-312 is a highly loaded antimony trioxide concentrate that can be used for a variety of applications including film, sheet, and extrusion coating. The content of antimony trioxide in EXTINITY® 0201-312 is 80%, by weight. Use of EXTINITY® 0201-312 eliminates the exposure hazards typically associated with handling antimony trioxide powder, since all of the antimony trioxide powder is dispersed, distributed and encapsulated in a LDPE carrier resin.

Technical Details & Test Data

Typical Performance

Use of EXTINITY® 0201-312, in conjunction with halogenated fire retardant additives or concentrates, can produce a wide range of performance to meet various flammability performance standards, such as Underwriters Labs, National Fire Protection Agency, ASTM and others.

Specific performance will vary based on application, resin selection, processing conditions and use rate of the concentrate.

Processing Condition

EXTINITY® 0201-312 is stable to approximately 275°C/560°F but has much lower recommended processing temperatures. Processing will naturally depend on extrusion process, screw design, die and application.
A typical temperature profile would be:

  Zone #1 Zone #2 Zone #3 Die
Celsius 185°-195°C 165°-170°C 165°-170°C 155°-160°C
Fahrenheit 365°-383°F 329°-338°F 329°-338°F 311°-320°F

Urethanes will absorb moisture; it is recommended that the TPU be dried in a heated desiccant system. Processes vary, please call for drying requirements for your specific application(s).
