Features & Benefits

Properties

The films yielded by HYDRORENE 33 can be flexible and very hard, depending onthe polyol used and show excellent properties of body filling and gloss. Thanks to its hydrophilic character, HYDRORENE 33 can be easily emulsified in the aqueous phase.

It is recommended use HYDRORENE 33 in combination with HYDRORENE 24 when a faster dust free time is requested.

Applications & Uses

Compatible Substrates & Surfaces
Application Condition

In order to get homogeneous films, it is very important to mix a thinned solution of HYDRORENE 33 with component A. In particular, it's suggested a dilution from 60% to 80% in MPA or Proglyde DMM. The solubility/compatibility with other solvents must be tested for their storage stability. In 2k PU systems with OH-terminated resins it is recommended a crosslinking between 150% and 200%, according to the given application. In 2k PU systems with not OH-terminated resins, HYDRORENE 33 is used at 10% compared to the component A. In this way, it is possible to increase the mechanical resistance and the adhesion property.

Technical Details & Test Data

Solubility

HYDRORENE 33 has a good compatibility with polar solvents like water, methoxypropylacetate (MPA), esters, glycols and ketones.

The storage stability of the blend used for thinning HYDRORENE 33 must always be tested. It's recommended always use urethane grade solvents (< 0,05/ water) which don't contain any aminic or hydroxylic groups.

Storage & Handling

Storage and Shelf Life

HYDRORENE 33 is sensible to moisture and has to be stored in sealed drums at a temperature not exceeding 30°C in aerated places, far from flames and sparks.

We guarantee a storage life of 6 months provided the product is stored under dry and cool condition. After this period, viscosity can slightly increase.
