STRUKTOL HT 600 is a multi-functional processing aids for the use in peroxide crosslinkable polymer types like E(P)DM, EVM, (H)NBR, CM, CSM or FPM amongst others. STRUKTOL HT 600 was developed in order to improve both, the processing behavior and the physical properties, respectively in a peroxide cure. It might be used as (partial) replacement of co-agents.
STRUKTOL HT 600 offers certain processing benefits in terms of decreased Mooney Viscosity or increased release properties from metal parts. In addition STRUKTOL HT 600 is a very heat stable material which makes it suitable for the application in products which are exposed to elevated temperatures over long periods.
During the crosslinking process STRUKTOL HT 600 is incorporated into the rubber network. Thus – in contrast to conventional processing aids – this product prevents either the compound or the finished article from any blooming effects on the surface.
Moreover, by the use of this product the crosslinking density is improved and consequently the physical properties of the finished article are shifted to higher levels. Therefore STRUKTOL HT 600 might be used as a co-agent in the peroxide cure of rubber compounds.
Commonly used co-agents as for example TAC, TAIC, TRIM might be (partially) replaced. The combination of STRUKTOL HT 600 with co-agents also might result in beneficial effects in physical properties.
