Recommended Applications

STRUKTOL® TR 219 is a blend of compatibilizer and processing lubricant that was designed for use in Nylon 6 and 6,6 compounds. The compatibilizer makes it effective at binding filler materials to the polymer system by virtue of its adhesive nature while the lubricant part provides improved processing characteristics of filled and unfilled polyamides. Typical improvements in processing are improved mixing and reduced die build-up (“die bearding”) and die drool. For injection molding applications, processors can expect to see better flow and mold filling vs. typical lubricants such as metallic stearates, montan waxes or amide waxes.

STRUKTOL® TR 219 is for use in nylon 6 and 6,6 compounds; both virgin and recycled. It has also been found to be effective in polyester (PET and PBT) compounds, especially recycled or recyclate-containing applications or in cases where the polyester compound is contaminated with other plastics.
