Mosselman Sorbitan Monooleate 10 EO (9005-65-6) are obtained by the ethoxylation of sorbitan esters. They are more hydro-philic than the sorbtanesters itself and are used as non-ionic surfactants and solubilizers for water insoluble active products and essential oils. In combination with the non-ethoxylated sorbitanesters, they can be used as emulsifiers for oil in water emulsion. KURARAY POVAL™ 27-96 by Kuraray is a medium hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. It exhibits good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity. It is used as an adhesive promoter. It provides good cohesion and adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. This grade is used in postage stamps and labels. It is designed for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ 27-96 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology.
