DOWSIL(TM) 7-3100 Gum Blend HIP Emulsion is a High Internal Phase (HIP) emulsion of ultra-high viscosity dimethiconol in cyclopentasiloxane which provides emolliency and superior esthetics in skin care products. These emulsions have been prepared using a proprietary process to give a particle size similar to the silicone elastomer gels in the emulsion (average particle size 7 - 10 μ), and have been stabilized with nonionic surfactants to provide maximum compatibility in formulations that contain other surfactants.

DOWSIL(TM)  2511 Cosmetic Wax is a water dispersible silicone glycol copolymer wax with a low melting point and is a water soluble, skin temperature melting wax for increased moisturization and humectancy. XIAMETER(TM) OFX-8220 Fluid is an amino functional polydimethylsiloxane. The highly basic nature of the primary amine groups on trimethylsilylamodimethicone causes this silicone polymer to develop a net positive charge in aqueous systems over a wide pH range (approximately 1 to 10.5). Consequently XIAMETER(TM) OFX-8220 Fluid is substantive to hair and useful for delivering shine, gloss, combing, and smoothness benefits in hair care applications. XIAMETER™ OFX-8220 Fluid is also suitable for clear products such as clear conditioning shampoos.

In petroleum processing, it provides effective foam control at extremely low dosage levels. This product is also suitable for use in personal care applications. The high-molecular-weight dimethicone provides easy combing and detangling for wet or dry hair and adds softness, smoothness, and gloss.

XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 12,500 cSt is a high-viscosity polydimethylsiloxane polymer manufactured to yield essentially linear polymers in a wide range of viscosities. The viscosities generally used in formulating polishes are in the range of 100 to 30,000 cSt. It is preferable to use a blend of a low-viscosity fluid and a high-viscosity fluid (e.g. 3 parts XIAMETER(TM) PMX- 200 Silicone Fluid 100 cSt and 1 part XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 12,500 cSt) to obtain optimum results in terms of ease of application and depth of gloss. The low-viscosity silicone fluid acts as a lubricant to make polish application and rubout easier, whereas the high-viscosity silicone fluid produces a greater depth of gloss. Since these polymers are inherently water-repellent, they will cause water to bead up on a treated surface rather than penetrate the polish film.

This emulsion was developed as a conditioning additive for hair care products such as shampoos, conditioners, styling aids and hair colorants. This product provides conditioning benefits on dry and wet hair as well as slipperiness on wet hair. It is also provides heat protection benefits allowing to preserve hair resistance to breakage. DOWSIL 969 Emulsion facilitates styling since it allows to have more aligned hair after blow drying and to reduce the number of iron passes to optimum straightening. It also enables straightened hair to maintain much longer its styling. DOWSIL 969 Emulsion provides good stability with dilution.

DOWSIL(TM) PMX-1505 Fluid is a blend of an ultra high viscosity dimethiconol diluted in readily biodegradable carriers in isododecane for use in hair care, skincare, suncare and color cosmetic applications.
