EBECRYL® 646 is a clear liquid modified diacrylate ester of bisphenol A epoxy resin, diluted with 25% of trimethylolpropane triacrylate. This product, when cured by UV or EB, exhibits high surface hardness, gloss, and excellent solvent resistance typical of epoxy resins. It is recommended for various applications, including overprint varnishes, lithographic and screen inks, coatings for paper, paperboard, wood, chipboard, rigid plastics, paper upgrading, laminating adhesives, and wood sealers and topcoats. EBECRYL® 646 features long pot life, good pigment wetting, improved hardness, high gloss, improved chemical resistance, faster cycle time, low-temperature curing, and low energy consumption. The application methods include curtain coating, gravure coating, lithography, roller coating, and screen coating. Additionally, it is suitable for textile manufacturing and other packaging coatings, particularly overprint varnishes.
