AFCONA-6745 is a synergist additive especially designed for Phthalocyanine pigments, carbon blacks and organic violets. As with all synergist additives, it should not be used alone. It always should be used in combination with one of the AFCONA 4000 - series high molecular weight dispersants. AFCONA-6745 absorbs to the surface of the pigment. The special modified surface of AFCONA - 6745 provides an anchoring site for the dispersant to anchor on the pigment. Thus, it improves the anchoring efficiency of a dispersant, yielding better pigment stability. This means:
- stabilized pigment dispersion
- reduced mill base viscosity
- higher pigment efficiency
- reduced flooding problems
Applications & Uses

- Addition and Dosage
- 3.0 - 5.0% calculated on pigment.
- AFCONA-6745 should be added to the mill base and pre dispersed for a short period.
- The final grinding process should take place together with the incorporation of the high molecular weight dispersants.
