AFCONA 3585 is a silicone-based leveling, substrate wetting and anti-crater agent for aqueous coatings that does not influence intercoat adhesion. It is an organically modified polysiloxane for aqueous systems. AFCONA 3585 offers very strong surface tension reduction and good compatibility performance.

  • Addition and Dosage
    • AFCONA 3585 may be added at 0.1 - 1.0% based on total formulation. Under normal conditions, 0.1 – 0.3% based on total formulation is sufficient.
  • Incorporation
    • AFCONA 3585 should be added prior to, or after, processing
