- AFCONA – 5290 a 100% solid dispersant created for high-solid systems and formulations that are facing VOC limitations.
- AFCONA – 5290 is suitable for all solvent - based systems ranging from low to high polarity, including air-dry alkyd.
- AFCONA – 5290 has very good pigment stability and performance. It gives good viscosity reduction and high color strength.
- AFCONA – 5290 is provided with almost 100% active ingredient; therefore, it is an excellent dispersant for high-solid coatings like polyurethane, epoxy and UV coating. This product is also a very interesting dispersant for ink formulations. The 100% active nature of AFCONA-5290 allows the formulator free choice of solvents for the finished product.
Note: AFCONA – 5290 will become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5° C. This will not influence the performance of the product.

Calculation method for the required amount of active ingredient based on pigment:
- TiO2 : 2 - 3%
- Other inorganic pigments : 2 - 4%
- Organic pigments : 20 - 40%
- Carbon blacks : 20 - 60%

AFCONA – 5290 should be incorporated to the mill base before adding pigments.

AFCONA – 5290 should be stored in a cool, dry place. When kept in its original, unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiration date is indicated on the container.
