Applications

DeCAL 1200 can be used as a thickener and rheology modifier for many aqueous adhesive, paint and coating compositions, and requires no pH adjustments when used within the range 4 - 11.

Application Method
  • DeCAL 1200 is active over a wide pH range (4-11) and requires no additional alkali. The product should be added directly to the coating mix with high efficiency mixing in order to avoid localized thickening. If necessary dilution with the carrier oil can aid addition.
  • DeCAL 1200 will generally thicken quite rapidly, but the rate of activation is dependent upon temperature, speed of mixing and medium to be thickened.
