It is soluble in alcohol and propylene glycol but insoluble in water.

One gram dissolves in 275 mL of 25° water, 20 mL of boiling water, 3 mL of alcohol, 5 mL of chloroform, and 3 mL of ether. It is soluble in both fixed and volatile oils and only slightly soluble in hexane.
