Rovene 4100 is a styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer recommended for use for boxboard coating, in some publication grade papers and in the adhesive industry. Rovene 4111 is a high glass transition temperature styrene-butadiene emulsion designed to provide additional opacity in inks, specifically inks formulated with titanium dioxide. Rovene 4111 was designed with a specific particle size that greatly improves the spacing between titanium dioxide particles resulting in increased opacity. Additionally, using Rovene 4111 may allow a formulator to reduce the level of titanium dioxide in an ink formulation.

Rovene 4180 is a low VOC styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer that provides the ability to compound at high solids and in multiple application areas. It is recommended for use in automobile underbody and protective coatings, landscaping mulch coatings, paper saturation, laminations, water resistance coatings, and specialty nonwoven/textile applications.

Rovene 6204 is a 34% solids solution version of Rovene 6201 styrene-acrylic resin neutralized with ammonia hydroxide. It can be used as a pigment dispersant resin and as a modifying additive in inks or overprint varnishes. Rovene 6204 is a general use resin solution that is used as a grinding resin to produce pigment dispersions. The solution can also be used as an additive to modify certain properties of an ink or overprint varnish. The addition of Rovene 6204 will increase gloss, increase block resistance and improve resolubility on press. The solution can also be crosslinked due to the carboxyl funcationality of the styrene-acrylic resin.

Rovene 4310 is a medium soft carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion designed for formulation of general purpose labels and construction adhesives. It is used in the formulation of general purpose labels and construction adhesives which provide excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates. Rovene 4310 has compatibility with a wide variety of commercial tackifier resins and has excellent filler tolerance.

Rovene 6202 is a solution version of Rovene 6201 solid styrene-acrylic resin neutralized with ammonia hydroxide. Rovene 6202 is a general use resin solution that is used as a grinding resin to produce pigment dispersions. Rovene 4305 is a styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer recommended for non-woven and textile applications that require a soft yet strong backcoating. It gives good adhesion to polyester as well as cellulosic substrates. Rovene 4305 offers outstanding water and solvent resistance especially when formulated with external crosslinkers.

Rovene 5550 is a self crosslinking carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that as a soft, resilient hand with outstanding strength properties. This binder is specially suited for various textile and coating applications. Rovene 5550 imparts excellent water and solvent resistance, excellent tensile strength and good adhesion to a wide variety of fibers. In contrast to conventional styrene-butadiene emulsions, Rovene 5550 has a much faster cure rate. In addition, it can be easily sprayed, is mechanically stable (at pH 8.5 and greater), and is low foaming. Rovene 5550 is used as a primary binder for nonwoven and textile applications in areas such as bonding wet wipes, polishing pads, filters, and facial scrub pads.

Rovene 6015 is a self crosslinking acrylic polymer providing a medium hand to frothed or saturated substrates. Rovene 6015 is recommended for various nonwoven and paper applications requiring medium hand with resistance to heat and light aging. Rovene 6015 also provides good wet strength and chemical resistance.

Rovene 6005 is a very soft acrylic, high molecular weight latex emulsion specifically designed for formulation of pressure sensitive permanent label adhesives. Its high molecular weight allows the formulation of permanent label adhesives which are high in peel and tack, yet require a minimum amount of tackifier. Rovene 6005 was designed to give excellent performance and compatibility with a wide variety of dispersed tackifiers. Rovene 6005’s high molecular weight also provides improved wet crock of inks printed on nonwoven and textile substrates in the Printing and Packaging market.

Rovene 4601 is a styrene-butadiene polymer emulsion designed to perform in textile applications. It may be utilized as a blend component, but may also find utility in textile applications where a very stiff final product is desired. Rovene 4601 can be compounded using calcium carbonate, clays and alumina trihydrate as fillers; sodium polyacrylate thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity.

Rovene 6017 is recommended for bonding nonwovens where a firm, durable binder is needed such as highloft webs, interlinings, and medical applications. Rovene 6017 provides excellent dry and wet tensile strength as well as good solvent resistance. Nonwoven webs bonded with Rovene 6017 also resist yellowing at standard processing temperatures.

Rovene 5499 is a film forming styrene-butadiene emulsion that was developed as an ink vehicle for thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) based wall coverings. More specifically it can be formulated for metallic ink vehicles. Rovene 5499 provides inks with excellent adhesion to TPO wall covering substrates and good alkaline resistance properties.

Rovene 6201 is an alkali soluble styrene-acrylic resin with a mid-range molecular weight supplied in a clear pellet form. Rovene 6201 is a general use resin for overprint varnishes, water based inks and pigment dispersions. Rovene 6201 provides excellent ink transfer and printability with high gloss.

Rovene 4150 is a medium-firm, self-crosslinking, carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion. It can be formulated into carpet and flooring mastics. This versatile polymer is also used in a variety of textile and nonwoven applications. Rovene 4150 offers finished properties of high tensile strength and good water resistance.

Rovene 6020 is a soft, carboxylated stryene-acrylic copolymer emulsion. The typical films are soft and strong with good water resistance and exhibit good resistance to discoloration. Rovene 6020 has found use in coatings for awnings, boat covers, gloss overprints for fabric, and outdoor furniture upholstery.

Rovene 9410 is a very soft carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion specifically designed for formulation of pressure sensitive adhesives. It is used in the formulation of pressure sensitive adhesives with a wide variety of tackifiers. Rovene 9410 has a unique balance of molecular weight and styrene content, which makes it ideal for blending with natural rubber and formulation of low temperature adhesives.

Rovene 4049 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a medium hand with above average strength properties. Rovene 4049 is recommended for use in a variety of applications including specialty paper coatings, textile and nonwovens, adhesives and paper lamination where high water and grease resistance films with low moisture vapor transmission is needed. Rovene 4049 can be compounded to high solids using calcium carbonate, clays and alumina trihydrate. Sodium polyacrylic thickeners are commonly used to obtain the required application viscosity. These compounds dry rapidly and impart good tensile strength with excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.

Rovene 4002 is a medium-firm, carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion designed to have good freeze-thaw stability and low odor characteristics, when used in trade sales coatings. When properly formulated, coatings based on Rovene 4002 exhibit tight, continuous films providing the following performance advantages: moisture vapor barrier properties, enamel holdout at higher PVC's than conventional latexes, superior cold temperature coalescence, stability to alkaline substrates and ASTM E-96 perm ratings of ~0.5.

Tykote 1004 is a styrene-butadiene emulsion polymer designed as a base resin for functional coatings. Tykote 1004 provides high strength and pigment compatibility. This low surfactant containing copolymer can be used to compound functional coatings exhibiting superior water, water vapor, oil and grease repellency. Rovene 4021 is a self-crosslinking, carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a firm hand with outstanding strength properties. This latex is especially suited for various nonwoven, textile and performance coating applications. Rovene 4021 is an excellent binder where stiffness with toughness and water resistance is required. It also accepts high filler loads of calcium carbonate, clays and alumina trihydrate and still retains excellent tensile strength. Rovene 4021 has the ability to be crosslinked with external crosslinking agents, which will improve the solvent resistance of treated substrates. Rovene 4021 is recommended for applications in textile and needle-punch backcoatings and performance coatings. This hydrophobic emulsion is also recommended as a primary binder for industrial and household floor care and scrub pads as well as for bonding wet wipes, industrial wipes and filters. Rovene 4021 can also be utilized in performance coatings where adhesion to metal surfaces is needed.

Rovene 4009 is a carboxylated styrene-butadiene emulsion that has a medium hand with above average strength properties. This latex has the ability to be crosslinked with external crosslinking agents. Rovene 4009 can be compounded into highly water and grease resistant paper and board coatings. It exhibits an excellent balance of water resistance, grease and oil resistance, and low moisture vapor transmission. Rovene 4009 is recommended for applications in specialty paper coatings where water, grease and oil resistance is needed.
