SILFOAM® is WACKER’s innovative brand for smart foam control products. SILFOAM® foam-control systems are the result of a continuous process of applied R&D. SILFOAM® is carefully tested for its compatibility and effectiveness in the customer's formulations, thereby avoiding overfoaming in advance.

SILFAR® is the name of WACKER’s range of silicone-based products specifically intended for the pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as for use in fermentation and other biotech processes. SILFAR® products feature outstanding chemical resistance. They are not resorbed in the digestive tract, and are therefore not metabolized. They are colorless and odorless.

Unique composites of polyethylene waxes and REACH compliant PTFE that provide a high degree of surface lubricity, abrasion resistance, and film toughness. These proprietary formulations offer a synergistic combination of properties for superior formulation flexibility in inks, paints, and coatings. Polyfluo 900 is an LDPE/PTFE composite fortified with ceramic beads for improved burnish and abrasion resistance. Polyfluo 523AL is an HDPE/PTFE composite reinforced with alumina nanopowder for maximum scratch, mar, and scuff resistance.

DREWPLAST® is a nonionic surfactant used as a release agent and anitstat for plastic and films.

FR Eco-Additive™ is a combination of Avtec’s TSWB® fire retarding and smoke suppressing additive and a crystalline graphite. FR Eco-Additive™ may be combined with composite resins and film forming binders to manufacture paints and coatings. Upon exposure to fire or high radiant heat the TSWB ® mitigates flammability and smoke generation as the graphite expands to form a thick insulating surface covering. This felt-like surface provides fire and heat resistance for assemblies that must meet prescribed burn-through and hourly fire rating criteria, e.g., ASTM E119, UL1709.FR Eco-Additive™ is a non-toxic antimony and bromine-free powder that disperses easily in both solvent and aqueous based resins. Nonionic surfactants carry no electrical charge and are available in a variety of chemical types. The main classes are alcohol ethoxylates, alcohol ethoxylates/propoxylates, ethylene oxide-propylene oxide copolymers, castor oil ethoxylates, amine ethoxylates, fatty acid esters and their ethoxylates. They are used in a wide range of applications where they provide useful characteristics including  emulsification, solubilisation, wetting, dispersion, detergency, foaming and defoaming.

OPTIM® enhances properties of polymer compounds thus enabling their increased adoption in automotive, wire & cable, wood plastics composites, flexible packaging, white goods and recycling industries.

Poligen® wax types refer to pure waxes of oxidized polyethylene waxes or ethylene copolymers. Poligen® products are already emulsified waxes and are used for ready-to-formulate purposes. The oxidized ethylene polymers provide the property of emulsification and thus wax emulsions can be prepared. They are defined by their mechanical and physical properties. The chemical constitution is mainly different. Oxidized polyethylene waxes are of high hardness and higher molar mass.

Joncryl® styrene acrylic resins and emulsions are the key components of high performance inks and coatings. Water-based inks and coatings formulated with Joncryl® products are a good sustainable, consistent quality alternative to solvent-based products. The Joncryl® range contains acrylic and styrene-acrylic RC emulsions, acrylic colloidals, crosslinking agents, polyethylene waxes for water-based ink & overprint varnish. Joncryl® ECO is a product range of glycol-ether-free and food-contact compliant dispersions. Joncryl® ECO types are meeting the stringent demands of food and packaging applications, such as for the tobacco and the confectionary markets.

GENIOPERL® from WACKER offers nanoscale structures for modifying polymers and coatings. The products are very efficient to process and, thanks to their high compatibility in selected matrix systems, form nanometer to micrometer-sized structures when incorporated. They thus optimize the end properties of the matrix systems.

PROVISIONGARD™ is a water-based coating that contains an active insect-growth-regulator (IGR) ingredient to control insect infestation of the packaged product for over 2 years by preventing insects from evolving through their lifecycle stages. As insects contact the surface of the PROVISIONGARD™ coated packaging, they absorb the insect growth regulator and cease evolving to their next stage of the growth cycle and die without contributing to insect population growth. What differentiates the PROVISIONGARD™ active ingredient from widely used pesticides is that this technology is based on naturally occurring substances found only in insects. It is not harmful to children, birds, dogs, cats, or other mammals and bees.

Santicizer® Plasticizers offer all the benefits of high solvating plasticizers including compatibility in multiple polymer systems such as Polysulfide, PVC and Polyurethane. Because of their high efficiency, less energy is required to fuse PVC formulations. These materials are well suited for plastisol applications, but can easily be used in almost any polymer system that requires additional flexibility and softness.
