Dermacryl X provides market leading water and rub-off resistance for reliable high SPF systems with pleasing esthetics in both inorganic and organic systems delivered from an emulsion base. This polymer also requires no heat or neutralization and can be easily incorporated into emulsion-based sunscreens to help simplify the formulation process.

DERMACRYL E is an easy-to-use film former for water resistant sunscreen emulsions. It has been developed to provide excellent water resistance performance without the need to heat or neutralize the polymer. DERMACRYL E polymer is designed with an improvement on sun protection performance from Dermacryl AQF polymer.

DRY-FLO TS PURE is an irradiated version of Dry-Flo TS starch that is an aluminum-free, non-GMO modified tapioca starch ideal for reducing greasiness, gloss, and tack in the most oily formulations. Its low-protein content is ideal for formulations for sensitive skin and reduced allergy concerns compared to corn-base starches. Patent pending.

Structure 3001 is a multifunctional associative thickener with lower viscosity and lighter hold properties compared to Structure 2001 with outstanding tolerance to salt, solvents and counter irons. Provides gel-like texture, yet very workable.

NATRASORB BATH is able to absorb and carry large quantities of oils and anhydrous liquids, such as bath oils. The starch is processed in a manner that creates unique 'pockets' that can carry the oils essentially in a solid, powder form. NATRASORB BATH starch is hydrophilic so that once the starch comes in contact with water, it immediately dissolves, releasing loaded oils, fragrances and/or emulsifiers, dispersing them into the warm water. The starch itself provides a soft feel to the bath water, but does not settle or leave a film.

ELFACOS ST 9 are unique polyalkalene glycols which have excellent stabilizing effect on emulsions. Having a high capacity to absorb water and oil, a relatively low percentage is needed in cosmetic formulations. The stabilizing effect is not obtained by thickening, allowing for low viscous stable emulsions to be achieved. As nonionic copolymers, Elfacos ST 9 and Elfacos ST 37 polyalkylene glycol derivatives are hydrolytic, pH and electrolyte stable over a very wide temperature range. In decorative cosmetics, they act as binders for powders and provide improved color and payoff in lipsticks and similar products.

Alcosperse 4961 is a film former that provides excellent humidity resistance and hold when used in anhydrous or 80% VOC hair sprays. In hair spray systems, it offers improved stiffness, durability, and long-lasting hold compared to Alcosperse polymer. In addition, the AMPHOMER 4961 polymer version provides improved compatibility with thickening agents (e.g. Carbomer) for hard holding styling gels and other styling aids.

Balance® RCFg polymer is a multifunctional film former and rheology modifier that provides cost-effective thickening and versatile performance in a variety of hair styling and surfactant containing systems.

Amaze Nordic Barley is a 100% natural, unmodified, COSMOS approved starch. The pure barley is regionally sourced from Scandinavia and produced in an eco-conscious process as a side-stream of the beverage industry. It has excellent microbial purity and so is produced without the requirement for irradiation or other treatments. Amaze XT is a 100% renewable, natural, multifunctional polymeric rheology modifier with exceptional thickening performance, superior suspension capabilities and esthetic properties for use in a wide range of personal care applications. Insoluble functional materials can provide visual appeal, deliver active ingredients and exfoliate. Incorporating and stabilizing these materials requires extra performance on the part of the rheology modifier. Amaze XT polymer provides the required performance. In addition to its thickening abilities, Amaze XT polymer has a high elastic/storage modulus (G’), indicating good suspending ability. It can also contribute to thickening effects and is suitable for styling gels, creams, and other products where higher viscosity with hold and conditioning are desired.

ARMOCARE APA-18V is an amidoamine, derived from vegetable source. It provides outstanding sensorial properties with instantaneous conditioning and detangling of hair. Due to its high substantivity it provides wet detangling, wet and dry comb, wet and dry after-feel as well as anti-static properties. Available in South America and Asia only.

Structure XL starch is a naturally-derived and biodegradable rheology and esthetic modifier that enables more stable and natural emulsions for hair and skin care applications. Due to its low surface energy, it reduces the size of emulsion droplets enabling efficient stability and also builds synergistic viscosity with emulsifiers. DERMACRYL 79 is a hydrophobic, high molecular weight carboxylated acrylic copolymer. DERMACRYL 79 is inherently moisture resistant — the polymer can be used in waterproof sunscreens as well as a variety of creams and lotions. It forms an excellent low-shine film for resistance to abrasion or rub-off and helps maintain active ingredients at the application site. Balance® CR polymer is a film forming hair fixative primarily designed for low VOC aerosol hair spray systems. It is supplied as an easy to use liquid emulsion, provides very low viscosities in high-water formulations, and its molecular weight has been optimized for superior stiffness and high humidity hold. Films of the polymer are hard but provide a more natural, flexible feel on the hair compared to the AMPHOMER polymer technology. Balance® CR polymer uses Nouryon's low-corrosion technology, which reduces the level of corrosion that is typically associated with emulsion polymers.
