PRF Composite Materials

PRF Composite Materials RP570 is a high performance formulated epoxy resin system with rapid Tg development enabling extremely short process times and excellent esthetic finish. A press tool held at constant temperature of 140°C can produce a part every 4 minutes ready for painting. RP-570 can be supplied on a variety of woven fabrics.

PRF Composite Materials RP522 is made up of Woven fabrics which is used for General and Industrial Purpose.

PRF Composite Materials RS-L135 exhibits good mechanical properties after curing at room temperature. If high temperature strength is not required, finished products made with the selection of hardeners up to RS-H136 may be used without further heat treatment. Post curing (heat treatment) will further enhance the mechanical properties and will also increase the heat resistance.

PRF Composite Materials RP542-1 is a controlled flow, tough epoxy prepreg system formulated for the manufacture of high performance structural composite parts requiring very good impact strength properties. The system has been formulated for a medium temperature cure of 80 - 120°C under vacuum or autoclave pressure and is also suitable for press molding. Fully cured, this system has a dry service temperature capability up to 120°C. The component surface finish with this system is excellent. The tack level of this system can be adjusted to meet the constructor’s individual requirements and will be retained for up to 40 days at 22°C making this system suitable for the manufacture of large composite components. RP-542-1 can be supplied on most of the vast range of PRF reinforcement materials in widths up to 1350 mm wide.

PRF Composite Materials RP802 is an epoxy tooling prepreg system capable of withstanding temperatures up to 190°C after full post cure. RP-802 is available in carbon and glass woven fabrics from 200 - 800 g/m2 impregnated with epoxy resin. RP-802 prepreg allows high quality tooling laminates to be produced directly from a low temperature master model permitting a wide choice of master model materials. Using a low temperature vacuum bag and autoclave process for inital cure, the tool laminate can then be demoulded for freestanding post cure.

PRF Composite Materials RS-M135 is an ultra low viscosity laminating system formulated for use in the manufacture of composite components from glass, carbon and aramid fibers. The system is suitable for components requiring high static and fatigue strength properties using injectin molding (e.g. RTM), vacuum infusion and pultrusion processes. At 25°C the mixed viscosity is approximately 200 mPa s and may be lowered further to a value of 100 - 150 mPa s by warming the resin (see page 5), thus even complicated parts with long flow paths can be injected without difficulty. With a mold temperature of around 30°C, the temperature rise with hardener RS-MH137 remains very slight, allowing thicker parts to be built at elevated temperatures.

PRF Composite Materials RP542-4 is a controlled flow, toughened epoxy prepreg system formulated for the manufacture of high performance structural composite parts requiring very good impact strength properties. The system has been formulated for a medium temperature cure of 80 - 120°C under vacuum or autoclave pressure and is also suitable for press molding. Fully cured, this system has a dry service temperature capability up to 120°C. The component surface finish with this system is excellent. The tack level of this system has been optimized to meet the constructor’s requirements and will be retained for up to 60 days at 20°C making this system suitable for the manufacture of large composite components. RP-542-4 can be supplied on most of the vast range of PRF reinforcement materials in widths up to 1350 mm wide.

PRF Composite Materials RP542-3 is a winter version of our popular RP542-1 component prepreg, providing a controlled flow, toughened epoxy prepreg system formulated for the manufacture of high performance structural composite parts requiring very good impact strength properties. The system has been formulated for a medium temperature cure of 90 - 120°C under vacuum or autoclave pressure and is also suitable for press molding. Fully cured, this system has a dry service temperature capability up to 120°C. The component surface finish with this system is excellent. The high tack level of this system is ideal for use in cold weather conditions, where temperatures in workshops drop below 15°C. The out life of the system is up to 40 days at 20°C, making this system suitable for the manufacture of large composite components. RP542-3 can be supplied on most of the vast range of PRF reinforcement materials in widths up to 1350 mm wide.
