SABIC's Specialties Business ULTEM™ Resin 1000F3SP is an unreinforced, amorphous polyetherimide (PEI) powder available with an average particle size (D50) of 15 microns and a maximum particle size (D100) of 75 microns. It features an impressive glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217°C, excellent mechanical, electrical, and dimensional properties up to high temperatures, very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material, and inherent flame retardancy. The material is RoHS-compliant and is transparent amber in color once processed. This product does not contain PFAS intentionally added during SHPP’s manufacturing process and are not expected to contain unintentional PFAS impurities. Each user is responsible for evaluating the presence of unintentional PFAS impurities.

Effective June, 2007 this grade will no longer be supported with biocompatibility information and should not be used for medical applications which require biocompatibility. Alternative grade HU2400.
