STRUKTOL® SA 0811 is recommended for use with recycled rigid PVC where additional stabilization and lubrication is needed to reduce yellowing, burning and sticking in extrusion, injection molding and calendering. It is especially useful in allowing higher loadings of PVC regrind (post industrial or post consumer) in virgin formulations. It also allows for longer production runs between shutdowns due to degradation.
STRUKTOL® SA 0811 slows down the amount of dehydrochlorination to allow extended time of the polymer in the extruder before onset of degradation. It can also be used as a synergist with tin stabilizers to reduce the percentage of the tin stabilizer for cost effectiveness.
- Dosage Level
STRUKTOL® SA 0811 is recommended at loadings between 0.25% - 2.0% with typical loadings of 1.0%. STRUKTOL® SA 0811 could also be used in conjunction with STRUKTOL® RP 28 at 0.5% – 1.0% for improved mixing.
