Toray Toray MicroPly™ TCF4045 is a low dielectric, low density epoxy syntactic film. The material displays both good mechanical and dielectric properties. Toray MicroPly™ TCF4045’s base resin chemistry features low moisture absorption with good high temperature properties. 177°C (350°F) Cure, Low Dielectric Epoxy Syntactic Film.

Toray BT250E-1 resin system is a 121°C (250°F) cure epoxy prepreg system with excellent toughness and strength. It provides an outstanding surface finish under vacuum-bag/oven-cure only. The resin system, which is self-adhesive to honeycomb and foam core, is MIL-R-9300 qualified and makes a great choice for many Applicationss in the low-tomedium-service temperature range.

Toray Toray MicroPly™ TCF4050 core splice adhesive is a cyanate ester-based core splice with flatwise tensile strength up to 260°C (500°F). This product has been developed to be compatible with the high temperature Toray TC420 and Toray EX-1505 prepreg resin systems. 177°C (350°F) Cure, Cyanate Ester Core Splice Adhesive.

Toray RS-36 is an advanced modified epoxy system for structural composite Applicationss. RS-36 offers an excellent balance of mechanical properties, low moisture absorption, high glass transition temperatures, and a range of processing options. Toray Toray MicroPly™ TCF4035 is a syntactic film compatible with 121°C (250°F) epoxy prepregs. It features a 30-day out time and is offered in a density of approximately 0.6 g/cc (40 ± 4 pounds per cubic foot). It features a higher service temperature than Toray TCF4025. Syntactic Epoxy Film.

Toray’s TC250 offers an excellent balance of toughness, mechanical properties, and hot/wet performance. It is easily processed via vacuum bag/oven, autoclave, or press curing operations. Although TC250 is a 130°C (265°F) cure system, it can be post cured for a higher dry and wet Tg, which enhance the product’s elevated temperature performance. TC250 can also be cured or freestanding post cured to 177°C (350°F) to increase its high temperature performance. TC250 is available with virtually all fiber reinforcements in uni-directional tape, slit unidirectional tape, woven, and non-woven prepreg forms. 130°C (265°F) Cure, Toughened Epoxy Resin System

Toray C640 is a cyanate ester resin system suitable for curing between 70°C (158°F) and 135°C (275°F). The medium viscosity resin is pre-impregnated into high-performance fibers such as carbon, glass and aramid. The system is capable of withstanding very high temperatures and is inherently flame-retardant. After a suitable post cure, the glass transition temperature can be increased to as high as 335°C (635°F).

Toray E721-FR is a modified epoxy resin system of medium viscosity for cures at 120°C (248°F), pre-impregnated into high performance fibers such as carbon, glass, and aramid. Toray E721-FR offers excellent structural properties, flame retardancy, and exceptional toughness allowing direct lamination to honeycomb without the use of resin film. Toray E721-FR is designed for structural Applicationss in the motor racing, marine industries, and for a wide range of engineering Applicationss. If fire-retardant properties are not required, consult separate data sheet for Toray E720.

Toray Toray MicroPly™ SF-4 is a BMI syntactic film that provides excellent elevated temperature properties and compatible to Toray RS-8HT. Toray MicroPly™ SF-4 is available in unsupported or supported continuous film form in various thicknesses from 0.25–2.5 mm (10 mils– 100 mils). Toray MicroPly™ SF-4 has been evaluated and qualified in aerospace structures. 204°C (400°F) Cure BMI Syntactic Film. Film to 127 cm (50”) wide.

Toray E722 is a 120°C (248°F) cure toughened epoxy component prepreg. E722 is designed for structural Applicationss in the motorsport and marine industries. Toray E722 would also suit general aircraft fittings, sporting equipment, and a wide range of engineering Applicationss. Toray Toray Microply™ TC235SF-1 is a composite surfacing film designed to provide paintable composite surfaces off of the tool. It may be cured under vacuum-only pressure or under low autoclave pressure. The surfacing properties of Toray MicroPly™ TC235SF-1 allow smooth, paintable surfaces, even with thin-skinned honeycomb-stiffened composite structure. Epoxy Surfacing System 121°C–177°F (250°F–350°F).

Toray Toray CFRT® TL-2100 consist of the same composition resin, carbon fiber, and laminate )concept of our proprietary sandwich construction. The carbon fiber (graphite) provides strength, stiffness, and durability. TL-2100 Semi-Flex, Semi-Rigid, Rigid, and Ultra differ only in terms of the volume of carbon fiber used and the thickness of the sheet material. TL-2100’s custom-designed weave provides high-strength carbon fiber in the longitudinal direction of an orthotic.

Toray BT250E-6 resin system is a 121°C (250°F) cure epoxy prepreg with excellent strength and stiffness. It provides an outstanding surface finish under vacuum bag/oven cure. BT250E-6 has an FAA-conformed database on carbon IM-7 uni-directional tape, S2-glass, and AS-4C plain weave.

Toray Toray CFRT® TL-6000 is a reinforced thermoplastic composite that blends the benefits of a thermoplastic polymer matrix with woven carbon fibers for enhanced performance. Within the product range, 2 layer (MOD1, 2L), 3 layer (3L), or 4 layer (4L) products are available, all ultra-thin, lightweight, and resilient. This material can be drilled, ground, polished and adjusted after being formed with a heated gun. TL-6000 has a smooth high-gloss finish and transparent surface to show woven carbon fiber.

Toray TC420 is a flow-controlled high temperature cyanate ester resin, toughened to resist microcracking. TC420 is specifically formulated to facilitate production of large out-of-autoclave structures. It can act as a self-adhesive system and is resistant to microcracking. This resin represents a new family of next generation high temperature resins, film adhesives, syntactic paste and expanding foams for ultra-high temperature conditions. TC420 is easy to process, and yields low void laminates with a flexible cure cycle under vacuum-only pressure. This system is also autoclave processable. TC420 is an attractive alternative to bismaleimide (BMI) and polyimide resins.

Toray TC380 sets a new benchmark for toughened epoxy prepreg systems. TC380 is extremely tough with an excellent balance of OHC, OHT, CAI, and GIC/GIIC properties. It features low moisture absorption with outstanding hot/wet mechanical properties to 121°C (250°F). TC380 is optimized for out-of-autoclave/vacuum bag only (OOA/VBO) cures, facilitating construction of large or complex composite parts and assemblies. Unlike some other highly toughened systems, there is no need to sequence the prepreg front and back face, assuring robustness and simplifying lay-up. Toray Toray CFRT® XTS 3L and 4L are reinforced thermoplastic composite laminates. They blend the benefits of a thermoplastic polymer matrix with uni-directional glass fibers for enhanced performance. The XTS style laminate is offered in 3-layer (0°/90°/0°Fiber orientations) and 4-layer (0°/90°/90°/0°Fiber orientations) construction that is ultrathin, lightweight, and resilient for improved energy return.

Toray Toray CFRT® TW-1000 is a reinforced thermoplastic composite laminate. It blends the benefits of a thermoplastic polymer matrix with woven carbon and glass fibers in a twill weave for enhanced shapes and performance. The TW1000 style laminate is available in a single-layer product; carbon in one direction and glass fibers at a 90° orientation to the carbon. This product is ultra-thin, lightweight, and resilient for improved energy return.

TC275-1E is an extended out time version of the TC275-1 resin system. TC275-1E is a flexible cure toughened epoxy prepreg designed to enable composite part construction with low pressure or vacuum bag only (VBO) cures. The resin system provides a 28-day total out time to facilitate construction of thick or larger composite structures. Toray E732 is a snap cure toughened epoxy resin matrix optimized for press curing (compression molding) prepreg Applicationss. With a cure time of 4 minutes at 160°C (320°F), an onset Tg of 170°C (338°F) is achieved. At this higher temperature, medium-to-high production rates can be accomplished, with customers able to produce beyond 50,000 parts per year. Toray E732 is a versatile matrix with a range of processing options allowing a variety of automotive and industrial Applicationss to be realized.

Toray E720 is a 120°C (248°F) cure toughened epoxy prepreg. E720 offers excellent adhesive properties, allowing direct lamination to honeycomb without the use of a film adhesive. E720 is designed for structural Applicationss in motorsport and marine industries. E720 would also suit general aircraft fittings, sporting equipment, and a wide range of engineering Applicationss. Toray E720 is compatible for co-cure with Toray’s 120°C (248°F) cure resin film MicroPly™ EF72 and syntactic core Toray MicroPly™ SC72A. Toray RS-3 is a modified cyanate ester prepreg resin developed to provide a good balance between toughness and high temperature/wet performance. RS-3 has been evaluated and qualified in the areas of satellite, airframe/missile, and dielectric structures. Toray TC522 is a highly toughened modified epoxy resin system. TC522 displays outstanding Compression After Impact (CAI), setting it apart from other resins designed for dielectric Applicationss. TC522 exhibits excellent mechanical and thermal properties, along with very low moisture absorption. Toray 8020 is a new generation of toughened epoxy resin systems offering a balance of mechanical properties and excellent surface finish. The resin system has been developed to offer a long out life and flexible cure schedules and can be applied to a wide range of high performance fibers. Toray 8020 is compatible for co-cure with Toray’s resin film, Toray 8020, and Toray’s syntactic core, Toray MicroPly™ SC8020A.

Toray E726 is a toughened epoxy resin system with controlled flow for cures at 120°C (248°F), pre-impregnated into high performance fibers such as carbon, glass and aramid. It is designed for use within medical and industrial Applicationss and would also suit a wide range of engineering Applicationss. Toray E726 is compatible for co-cure with Toray EF72, a 120°C (248°F) cure resin film and Toray MicroPly™ SC72A syntactic core.

Toray Toray MicroPly™ EM-5A is a 177°C (350°F) cure expanding cyanate ester syntactic film (core splice). Its unexpanded density is approximately 50 pcf (0.80 g/cc) and exhibits an expansion ratio of up to 4x. It is available in continuous film rolls or in sheet form from thicknesses of 10–125 mils (0.25–3.18 mm). Standard widths are 61 cm (24”), but alternative widths up to 127 cm (50”) are available upon request. 177°C (350°F) Cure Cyanate Ester Syntactic Core Splice Film.

Toray Toray CFRT® AG18-2L is a reinforced thermoplastic composite laminate. It blends the benefits of a thermoplastic polymer matrix with woven glass fibers in a plain weave for enhanced performance. The AG-18 2L style laminate is available in a dual-layer product with glass fibers in both directions (0° & 90°). This construction is ultra-thin, lightweight, and resilient for improved energy return.

Toray Toray MicroPly™ EM-3 is a 121°C (250°F) curing expanding epoxy film based on low density syntactic film technology. It is an effective material in generating internal pressure in closed mold Applicationss and honeycomb filling, splicing, and stabilization. Toray MicroPly™ EM-3 is available in film form from 30–91 cm (12–36”) wide with standard thicknesses from 0.0635 cm to 1.27 mm (0.025“ to 0.050”). Toray Toray MicroPly™ SF-5 is a cyanate ester based syntactic film developed to be compatible with various cyanate ester matrices, including Toray RS-3. Toray MicroPly™ SF-5 is available in unsupported and supported continuous film form in thicknesses from 0.25–6.35 mm (10–250 mils). Toray MicroPly™ SF-5 has been evaluated and qualified in aerospace and dielectric structures. 177°C (350°F) Cure Cyanate Ester Syntactic Film. Film to 127 cm (50”) wide.

Toray RS-17B is a modified epoxy resin that delivers extremely low moisture absorption while providing excellent mechanical properties, toughness, and modulus. RS-17B is a flexible cure system that may be cured from 135°C to 177°C (275°F to 350°F). RS-17B has a long spaceflight heritage. 135°C–177°C (275°F–350°F) Cure Epoxy.

Toray Toray CFRT® TWAG is a reinforced thermoplastic composite laminate. It blends the benefits of a thermoplastic polymer matrix with woven glass fibers in a twill weave for enhanced shapes and performance. The TWAG style laminate is available in a single-layer product. The TWAG laminate is ultra-thin, lightweight, and resilient for improved energy return.

Toray TC350-1 is a toughened matrix for structural advanced composite Applicationss. TC350-1 offers an excellent balance of toughness, mechanical property translation, and hot/wet performance. It is easily processed via out-ofautoclave or press curing operations. TC350-1 develops a 191°C (376°F) Tg after a 177°C (350°F) cure, which coupled with low moisture absorption translates into excellent hot/wet performance. Toray RS-1 is an epoxy prepreg resin that provides an excellent balance of mechanical properties, toughness, and modulus. RS-1 has been evaluated and qualified in areas ranging from marine to aerospace and dielectric structures. RS-1 is also available in a lower temperature curing formulation 80°C (176°F).
