Wacker Chemie F 100

Wacker Chemie F 100 is a hot melt kiss-roll applied thread lubricant. It consists of a 100% active compound composed of polydimethylsiloxane coupled with specialty waxes. This product is specifically designed for various sewing thread applications, including continuous filament, core spun, and cotton-wrapped polyester and nylon threads. By applying F 100, it enhances the sewing performance of these threads, particularly in medium-duty applications. Moreover, F 100 contributes to the overall improvement of sewing thread performance.

Application Details

Processing

F 100 is applied to the thread via rollers at 80°C. F 100 has a viscosity of ~130 mPas at this temperature. Heated troughs or holding tanks are required. At application levels of 3% to 7% On-Weight-Of-Goods it provides excellent sewing performance in heavy duty and high speed applications.

Storage Information

F 100 has a shelf life of at least 6 months if stored in originally sealed containers at 25 °C. If the material is kept beyond the recommended shelf life, it is not necessarily unusable, but quality control should be performed on the properties relevant to the application.
