SILFAR® is the name of WACKER’s range of silicone-based products specifically intended for the pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as for use in fermentation and other biotech processes. SILFAR® products feature outstanding chemical resistance. They are not resorbed in the digestive tract, and are therefore not metabolized. They are colorless and odorless.

WACKER’s CAVAQ10® is a highly bioavailable coenzyme Q10 powder. This fat-soluble, vitamin-like substance is a known antioxidant. Coenzyme Q10 has been associated with improved cardiovascular health and supporting optimum fuctioning of the cardiac muscle. However, many commercial products do not offer adequate bioavailability. WACKER’s cyclodextrin-encapsulated CAVAQ10® powder, by contrast, has an 18-fold higher bioavailability compared to other CoQ10 products.

The SILRES® brand comprises a wide range of silicones for coatings, paints and construction applications. The portfolio has been developed and continuously improved since the 1950's when the first silicone resins for building protection originated in WACKER laboratories. It features not only time-tested and innovative products, but also tailored solutions for a host of applications, climates and substrates. CAVAMAX® is the trade name for cyclodextrins from WACKER. We are the only company in the world to manufacture all three naturally occurring cyclodextrins – α, β and γ (CAVAMAX® W6, W7 and W8). CAVAMAX® cyclodextrins have unique properties resulting in a wide range of functionalities, such as stabilization, rheology control, masking of bitterness or increasing bioavailability and much more. This paves the way for innovative food, pharma and industrial applications.

VINNAPAS® is WACKER’s brand name for a versatile range of polymer-based dispersions, powders and resins that are used to improve the properties and performance of products in a wide range of industries. The portfolio has been continuously improved and optimized since the 1950s. Thus, VINNAPAS® products set the standard and are leading in many applications.

BELSIL® is an extensive range of premium-grade silicones intended specifically for personal care applications, and more especially for hair care, skin care, color cosmetics, and deodorants. BELSIL® products are developed and manufactured in the highest quality and with utmost care, ensuring that the formulations are highly efficient and reliable. With BELSIL®, you can tailor your hair-care or skin-care formulations or color cosmetics to obtain end products that are not only competitive but also meet the needs of the market.

CAVACURMIN® is a highly bioavailable curcumin complex that is around 40 times more efficiently absorbed than standard turmeric extract. The complexation with the naturally occurring oligasaccharide gamma-cyclodextrin results in a free-flowing, easily dispersible powder.

ELASTOSIL® FX silicone rubber grades and additives allow to achieve realistic, impressive effects on the skin, in masks and in decorative uses. Film, theater and cosplay are possible areas of application.

HDK® Pyrogenic silica is a mature product that WACKER has produced for over 50 years and is used by customers worldwide with great success. Thanks to our integrated production system with statistical process control and highly efficient reactor dynamics, we produce pyrogenic silica of exceptionally purity. SEMICOSIL® is WACKER's brand name for its silicone rubber grades developed for use in electronics applications. Each product is customized to the requirements of a specific application, resulting in a portfolio of highly specialized grades.

The VINNAPAS® eco product line stands for polymer dispersions, dispersible polymer powders and solid resins derived from renewable raw materials via the biomass balance approach. VINNAPAS® eco grades are chemically identical to the corresponding basic VINNAPAS® products. VINNAPAS® eco dispersions, dispersible polymer powders and solid resins are manufactured using the biomass balance approach. This means that fossil raw materials are entirely replaced in the supply chain by renewable raw materials that are certified as sustainable. WACKER uses bio-based acetic acid that is a byproduct of the wood-processing industry and is certified as sustainable by PEFC® (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). The bio-based acetic acid is introduced at the beginning of the production cycle. The biomass balance approach mathematically determines the percentage of dispersions, dispersible polymer powders and solid resins made from renewable (non-fossil) raw materials. VINNAPAS® eco grades are certified to the REDcert2 standard and audited by TÜV NORD, an independent German technical inspectorate.

DEHESIVE® products are tailored to applications and have a successful track record of over 30 years of use around the world as silicone release coatings for paper and film. DEHESIVE® silicones set standards in versatility, processability and economy. Thanks to their chemical structure, the organosilicon compounds found in DEHESIVE® silicones have excellent release properties towards sticky substances. Silicone-coated release liners not only adhere to labels to prevent contamination and damage during handling, they can also be peeled off smoothly without loss of adhesive strength. The unique market portfolio is the ideal choice wherever release papers are produced. The advanced technology is ideal for modern applications in the labeling, adhesive tape and food industries.

The SILPURAN® product range comprises HTV solid and liquid silicone rubber (LSR), and room-temperature-vulcanizing grades (RTV-1 and RTV-2). These high-end silicone rubber grades meet the stringent demands of the health-care industry. All products have passed selected ISO 10993 and USP Class VI tests, and so also meet the high safety standards imposed by the health-care industry. The outstanding levels of purity needed for fulfilling the medical requirements of today and tomorrow are ensured by the WACKER CLEAN OPERATIONS program.

WETSOFT® imparts excellent softness and moisture absorption to your textiles. Our WETSOFT® range of products is particularly impressive when used on terry goods, leisure wear or other high-quality functional textiles The silicone finish provides textiles with an innovative structure that combines outstanding softness with excellent water absorption. For use in your formulations, we also offer you products of the WETSOFT® NE range in the form of concentrated emulsions, easily dispersible oils or water-free fluid.

WACKER’s PRIMIS® brand covers specialty high-value dispersions based on high-performance acrylate copolymers, as well as a range of high-value additives. PRIMIS® enables customers to develop products with unique properties that are otherwise difficult to achieve.

POWERSIL® from WACKER is a portfolio of specialty silicones for power transmission and distribution. It also includes silicone fluids for transformers, and specialty silicone pastes. All POWERSIL® products meet the requisite product safety, quality and reliability demands imposed by the various applications, and are notable for their outstanding property profiles. POWERSIL® rubber grades confer lasting water repellency, resistance to leakage currents and erosion, and good low-temperature flexibility. This makes them ideal for harsh climates found in coastal and desert regions.

SILFOAM® is WACKER’s innovative brand for smart foam control products. It covers silicone-based integrated system solutions for regulatingfoam-intensive applications, and thereby optimizing processes and end products. SILFOAM® foam-control systems are the result of a continuous process of applied R&D. SILFOAM® is carefully tested for its compatibility and effectiveness in the customer's formulations, thereby avoiding overfoaming in advance.

Under the brand family GENIOSIL®, WACKER offers organofunctional silanes and innovative silane modified polymers for bonding and sealing. Their most outstanding property is the fact that they combine environmental advantages with performance benefits.

GENIOSIL® WP silane-modified polymers are the key to innovative waterproofing products, whose properties are comparable to those of polyurethane-based liquid waterproofing coatings. Thanks to its particularly low viscosity, GENIOSIL® WP is easy to formulate without the addition of solvents, plasticizers or tin catalysts.

ELASTOSIL® LR liquid silicone rubber products are two-part silicone rubber grades which can be injection molded on fully automated machines without the need for secondary processing. They are generally platinum-curing and vulcanize under heat and pressure. As a rule, the A component contains the platinum catalyst while the B component consists of the crosslinker. They are ideal for high-volume manufacturing and so help to keep unit costs down.

NEXIPAL® laminates for electroactive applications consist of one or several ultrathin silicone layers of ELASTOSIL® Film. This film, which is only 10 to 400 µm thick, is coated with special electrodes, laminated and cut to shape. Several layers are then stacked on top of each other.

The VINNEVA® brand comprises a range of polymer-based dispersions for the modification of bitumen emulsions. The dispersions are usually post-added to the bitumen emulsions.

WACKER SilGel® comprises highly transparent, silicone rubber compounds that cure to form silicone gels. They stand out due to their low viscosity and strong inherent tack, often rendering a primer or adhesion promoter superfluous. All products can be fully automatically processed in mixing and metering units, and are ideal for efficient mass production. WACKER SilGel® products are addition-curing, RTV-2-silicone elastomers that cure both at room temperature and at higher temperatures.

WACKER markets vinyl chloride co- and terpolymers in the form of dispersions and solid resins under the VINNOL® trade name.

HELISOL® heat transfer fluids make an important contribution to the efficient transfer of heat. Heat accounts for around two thirds of industrial energy needs and almost one fifth of total global energy consumption. HELISOL® heat transfer fluids may be used in a broad variety of different applications: in wood and metal processing, oil refineries, chemical, polymer and other industries, as well as in solar thermal applications.

ELASTOSIL® is an all-rounder for countless applications. Silicone rubbers consist essentially of silicone polymers and fillers. They cure at high temperature (HTV/LSR grades) or room temperature (RTV grades) with suitable reactants, forming a three-dimensional structure and transforming the uncured compound in a plastic state into an elastomeric rubber. Silicone elastomers are flexible at low temperatures and resistant to heat and aging (UV radiation and ozone). They are easy to process and have good mechanical properties that remain unchanged over a wide temperature range. They have a neutral taste and are biologically unreactive.

HTEssence® is the first nature-identical hydroxytyrosol. This bioactive compound is found in olives and is considered one of the most powerful antioxidants with numerous health benefits.

GENIOSIL® STP-E are silane-crosslinking organic polymers that combine properties typical of both silicones and polyurethanes. They are highly versatile yet easy and safe to use as they are isocyanate and solvent-free and  in case of the α-polymers  do not require tin-catalysts for curing.

VINNACEL® is WACKER’s trademark for polymer binders that are supplied in the form of a complete additive solutions, tailored to specific customer needs. VINNACEL® products increase the adhesion, cohesion and long-term performance of cementitious systems in order to optimize the end application.

LIOSIL® is powerful, innovative and trailblazing. WACKER is bundling its Protect & Care, Surface Care and Tissue products under the brand name LIOSIL®. Applications for these products pose an extraordinarily wide range of challenges for everyday home care and cleaning.

GENIOPLAST® from WACKER are silicone-based additives and production aids for both standard thermoplastics and engineering plastics. GENIOPLAST® pellets and GENIOPLAST® additives for wood plastic composites (WPCs) enhance processes and products in the melt-processing industry.
