SYNPRINT AC 5111 is an acrylic non-film-forming polymer based on a multiphase technology free of alpha- methyl-styrene. This is a proprietary process that combines two different types of polymers in the same polymer network. SYNPRINT AC 7056 is an alkali-soluble acrylic copolymer. It has good adhesion on metallised foil with good dry wrinkle behavior. SYNTRAN® AC 5923 is a surfactant-free, multiphase, self-crosslinking acrylic polymer with very fine particle size. It is clear in the can and provides excellent pigment wetting in pigmented coatings. Moreover, it shows excellent adhesion to metal, making it suitable for direct-to-metal (DTM) applications. White pigmented coatings (industrial and decorative) formulated with SYNTRAN® AC 5923 show excellent stain resistance (red wine, coffee, mustard) and very good alcohol resistance. SYNTRAN® AC 5923 forms very hard and scratch resistance but also flexible films with high to medium gloss and good sandability. It is suitable for interior and exterior applications. SYNTRAN® APU 1602 is an acrylic modified aliphatic polyurethane dispersion with excellent abrasion and chemical resistance. The product is used for parquet coatings (that do not require cross-linker addition), industrial wood, floor and plastic coatings and to improve abrasion resistance in combination with other acrylic copolymers. SYNTRAN® APU 1602 offers very good chemical resistance and is highly compatible with other SYNTRAN® acrylic polymers. SYNTRAN® AC 7016 is an alkali-soluble acrylic copolymer. It can be used in primers with excellent wood warming properties e.g. in stains for furniture and other industrial applications. Additionally, it is suitable as an adhesion primer on wood, metal, metallised foils, aqueous stains and under UV varnishes. It can also be used as an insulating primer for water-soluble materials - in this case and for industrial applications, forced drying is recommended. It is also possible to apply with a roller coater. SYNTRAN® AC 2901 is an inherently matte acrylic polymer. This technology produces a film with low gloss, high flexibility and excellent stability while providing excellent adhesion to various substrate types. SYNTRAN® AC 2901 forms a low- gloss film without the additional use of waxes or powdered matting agents and gives a slightly soft touch to the surface. It is compatible with both organic and inorganic pigment pastes and can be used to produce matte formulations without affecting the color of the ink or the substrate, providing a very natural, “non- coated” appearance of the substrate. It is recommended to fortify SYNTRAN® AC 2901 with another acrylic resin or PUD to improve the overall film properties.
