SYNTHALAT E 405 is a short-oil, non-drying alkyd resin. It is suitable for nitrocellulose wood finishes with a good body. It offers good solvent evaporation and sandability. SYNTHALAT PWM 883 is a solvent- and surfactant-free urethane alkyd emulsion based on medium-oil resin with a residual amount of xylene < 0.1%. This product is suitable as a sole binder for fast-drying water-based industrial lacquers with a reduced number of dryers. Films based on this product show very high pendulum hardness. Also, lacquers based on this product show early water resistance and good chemical resistance against petrol and synthetic fuels. It has applications in architectural coatings, metal coatings, furniture coatings, wood flooring, decorative paints, coatings, and stains.

LIOPTAL 836 is a short-oil-drying alkyd resin. This short-oil alkyd resin is ideal for air-drying primers, as well as single and top coats and good dipping bath stability. Due to its low oil content, this yields quick-drying glossy top coats. Dipping coatings based on LIOPTAL 836 have excellent tank stability. SYNTHALAT W 48 is a water-thinnable, specially modified alkyd resin. It is recommended for water-thinnable top coat formulations with good color retention and very good water resistance. The high solids allow this product to be formulated in VOC compliant topcoats (max. 420 g/l) and DTM primers, both displaying excellent salt spray resistance.
