- Film Properties and Processing
SYNTHALAT W 46 is used in Appropriately formulated paints to have a good body and exceptionally high gloss and content
less than 5% solvents. The priming and top coat paints are resistant to rain, mist and high
atmospheric humidity both after forced drying of e.g. 15 min/85°C and after 24 h room
temperature. These paints are used for agricultural machinery and general industry.
For Synthalat W46 we recommend drier combination as follows:
0,05 – 0,15% Co + 0,05-0,15% Mn for primers and colored systems
0,05%Co, 0,1% Ca, 0,1-0,6% Zr for white pigmented systems
(relative to metal content on solids)
We recommend the use of water emulsified driers, incorporation should take place in mill base.
Use of basic anti-corrosive pigments is not recommended, compatibility with certain anticorrosive
pigments should be tested.
