    • Banhoek Chili Oil was established in 2018 in the Cape Winelands (South Africa’s “Napa Valley”) near Cape Town.
    • After years of frustration at not being able to find the “sauce piquante” chili oil they’d previously discovered while living in Europe, founders, Ken Kinsey-Quick and Adi Meintjes set out to create their own premium chili oil; testing and trialing dozens of variations of chillies, oils and production methods until they got it just right. What began as a passion project in the kitchen has since grown into a thriving enterprise, now sold in hundreds of stores across Southern Africa, the United Kingdom, Germany, UAE, Australia and the United States.
    • Banhoek Chili Oil won a coveted Great Taste Award in 2019, awarded by the UK’s Guild of Fine Food, the world’s largest and most trusted food accreditation scheme.
    • Banhoek Chili Oil is not a HOT product but enhances the flavor of any dish without overpowering.
    • We only use non GMO canola oil for a smoother mouth feel, a more neutral carrier to bring out the chili flavor, not to mention the health benefits of pure canola oil.
    • This product is Healthy, Vegan Friendly, Halal, Kosher and 100% natural.
    • Banhoek Chili Oil is an essential in every kitchen as its versatility is exceptional ranging from a cooking oil (frying shrimps in it is delicious) to a condiment over breakfast eggs, lunch salad and dinner pizza, pasta, burgers, fish, meat, chicken and even dessert! In other words, any dish you want to spice up!

"Denali BioTechnologies Inc. was founded in 2006 by biochemist and food scientist Maureen McKenzie, Ph.D. as the sister research and development company to Denali BioTechnologies LLC, which was founded two years earlier. The LLC was established through the help of a substantial United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) grant to determine if Alaska’s wild berries could be developed and commercialized. After the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued its final Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations in 2007, it became clear that the demonstration company and processing facility the LLC had set up in Kenai, Alaska, would not be able to meet these stringent new standards. The LLC was dissolved and the owners left the business. Fortunately, the decade of research and development efforts initiated by Dr. McKenzie while affiliated with the company was not lost. Denali BioTechnologies Inc. absorbed the intellectual property and state-of-the-art processing equipment of the LLC; is building a new GMP-compliant facility in Homer, Alaska; re-established key relationships with harvesters; and is back on track to carry out the original vision of the company. Through our research, we have identified and prepared for commercial production numerous dietary supplement ingredients, all made from wild and whole Alaska plants and seafood of the highest potency and purity and delivered as dried flakes or in powders of specified mesh sizes. Our first research efforts were centered on blueberries. When we discovered the startlingly high flavonoid content of wild blueberries grown in near 24-hour sunlight, we knew we were onto something. Now AuroraBlue®, made from Alaska blueberries and bilberries, is our flagship product."

The BelGioioso story began over a century ago when the great-grandfather of BelGioioso President, Errico Auricchio, founded a cheese company based on a philosophy of excellence. In 1979, Errico moved his family from Italy to America with the goal of continuing his great-grandfather’s legacy. He wanted to craft the best Italian cheeses in the United States.

When Errico came to America, he scoured the United States in search of the highest quality milk to begin his goal of making exceptional specialty cheeses. It was in Wisconsin, “America’s Dairyland”, that he found the dedicated farmers and abundant green pastures and corn fields that produce superior milk. Wisconsin milk was and still is simply unbeatable.

In addition to his immediate family, Errico also brought with him two master cheesemakers, Mauro and Gianni. To these gentlemen, making cheese isn’t a job, it’s a calling. They carry with them a strict focus on quality and an unending passion for crafting flavorful cheeses using artisan methods. Mauro & Gianni remain part of the BelGioioso family today and work tirelessly to share their wisdom with each new generation of cheesemakers.

Together, Errico, Mauro & Gianni began by making cheeses familiar to American consumers such as Provolone, Parmesan and Romano. Soon, consumers wanted more; new cheeses, new flavors and new aromas. Over time, we introduced cheeses previously unknown in America. Mascarpone, CreamyGorg®, Italico® and American Grana® have now become favorites. Today, BelGioioso manufactures, ages, packages and ships over twenty five varieties of specialty cheese with new cheeses continuously in development.

BelGioioso’s commitment to tradition and excellence carries with it the value of knowing how to make Italian cheeses just as they were long ago from recipes passed down by generations. As the company has grown, the passion for tradition and quality has never diminished.

Tradition, selection of ingredients, location and artisan inspiration are cardinal pillars that make BelGioioso cheesemakers the greatest interpreters of the best Italian cheeses in the US.
