ADD-3236 is a silicone surface additive with defoaming properties to improve the surface properties of coatings, with particular emphasis upon leveling, it increases surface slip and thus improves scratch and mar- resistance. ADD-3236 is a heat resistant due to the alkyl-modification, which shows no thermal decomposition at high temperatures in baking systems such as coil coatings (up to 280°C for 15 minutes).

With a slight influence on surface tension, ADD-3239 can impart defoaming properties to the system. It is soluble in aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, esters and ketones but insoluble in water. Sometimes it is necessary to dilute this 100% active material with a compatible solvent to improve its compatibility in a particular system. ADD-3239 is suitable for coatings and composite.
