AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. LUMIFLON® LF-200F is a moderate molecular weight, moderate hydroxyl number resin consisting of alternating fluoroethylene and alkyl vinyl ether segments (FEVE). This product has been developed in flake form in order to enable formulators to meet VOC and HAPS regulations. This resin can be dissolved in VOC and HAPS exempt solvents such as acetone, Oxsol® 100, t-butyl acetate, and dimethyl carbonate to meet the strictest air quality requirements. LUMIFLON resins are used to make ultra-weatherable coatings for architectural, aerospace, automotive, and industrial maintenance markets.

It is typically used to formulate coil coatings where flexibility and excellent weatherability are required. The major market where LF-600X finds application is the architectural market. Belonging to the NP-series, it has a very high hardness, so it is often used as a filler for increasing resin hardness. LF710F resin has hydroxyl functionality allowing for crosslinking with polyisocayanates or amino curing agents. Powder coatings based on LF710F exhibit excellent durability in exterior weathering exposure, resisting chalk, color fade, and gloss loss. LUMIFLON LF710F is supplied in flake form. It is soluble in various common solvents and may be used in high performance solventbased coatings. It may be used on a variety of substrates requiring long term weatherability. FEVE resins tend to have good adhesion to metal. Depending on the service environment, they may be used to coat directly over metal without the use of primer.
