EBECRYL® 6040 is a modified diacrylate ester of bisphenol A epoxy resin, recognized for its low odor, light color, low irritancy, and rapid cure response. Films cured by ultraviolet light (UV) or electron beam (EB) showcase high surface hardness, elevated gloss, low residual odor, and excellent solvent resistance, typical of epoxy resins. This product is particularly useful for overprint varnishes. Noteworthy features include improved hardness, long pot life, faster cycle time, high gloss, low-temperature curing, improved chemical resistance, and low energy consumption. It is applied in wood coatings, furniture coatings, and industrial coatings for radiation-curable formulations.
