Technical Details & Test Data
- Concentration Control
Titration Method:
- Titration Factor : 0.78
- Accurately measure 50mL of the in-use fluid into a flask
- Titrate to pH of 4.6 with 0.5N HCl
- Concentration = mL of 0.5N HCl X Titration Factor
mL of 0.5N HCl % Concentration
6.4 5 7.7 6 9 7 10.3 8
Dropper Method:- Dropper Factor : 0.127
- Measure 10mL of the in-use cleaner into a small flask using a 5mL disposable syringe.
- Add 2-4 drops of Bromphenol Blue indicator to the cleaner, swirl to mix. Sample should turn a dark blue.
- Add 0.5N HCl dropwise to until sample turns yellow
- Concentration = Drops of 0.5N HCl X Dropper Factor
Drops of 0.5N HCl % Concentration
40 5 48 6 55 7 63 8
Concentration measurement using a refractometer is not recommended. However, it can be used on fresh charges. The multiplier is 4.63.
- Titration Factor : 0.78
