- Artic Mist® is used in plastics applications mainly for nucleation of semi-crystalline plastics, for foamed plastics or other applications where a high-performance powder talc is desired, while its compacted versions JetFil® 625C is commonly used for reinforcement in polyolefins, including in automotives and appliances.
- Artic Mist® is used in rubber applications as a reinforcing agent and processing aid. It also improves cut/tear resistance, reduces permeability, increases swell resistance and improves the aging properties of rubber compounds.
- Artic Mist® is used in coating, adhesive, and sealant formulations to improve the tensile strength, flexibility and barrier properties of cured films. The ultrafine top size and high oil-absorption properties make Artic Mist® a versatile post-manufacturing additive to adjust gloss of interior and exterior paint and coating formulations.
