Pangel OMD1 is an easy-to-disperse self-activated organobentonite, that is recommended for providing the following properties in solvent-borne systems:
- Thixotropic and pseudoplastic effects
- Sag control
- Excellent leveling
- Prevents pigment from long-term storage settling
- No need of pregelling or the use of polar activators
- Product Highlights
- Pangel OMD1 does not require neither strong mechanical energy to disperse nor a polar activator to achieve a suitable dispersion. It is recommended to disperse Pangel OMD1 before surfactants and wetting agents.
- Pangel OMD1 can be added at any point in the paint manufacturing process. Post addition is also valid to correct the final viscosity of a given formulatioon.
- Pre-gelling is not necessary to develop full rheological properties of Pangel OMD1. Pre-gels of Pangel OMD1 do not show the same viscosity organobentonites, but they confer the same rheological properties to the final than conventional systems.
Applications & Uses
