Dar-Tech Portaryte® B25

1 of 18 products in this brand
Dar-Tech Portaryte® B25 is produced from carefully selected, very white, naturally occurring baryte. The standardized quality of Dar-Tech Portaryte® is guaranteed by means of an ISO 9001-certified quality management plan. The chemical composition of the raw material and the finished product is closely monitored, and the particle size is kept within a narrow variation. Fine grades of Dar-Tech Portaryte® fillers have been specially developed for powder coating applications. They are successfully used as an alternative for fine synthetic blanc fixe in high-gloss applications.

Features & Benefits

Features and Benefits

Portaryte® micronized functional fillers are used in a broad range of applications. The most important characteristics are:

  • excellent chemical inertness (outdoor and chemical applications)
  • low level of impurities, such as transition and heavy metals
  • low content of quartz (low abrasiveness, no health issues)

Because of these characteristics, Portaryte® fillers are successfully used in an extended range of paint & coating applications such as industrial, marine and powder coatings.
Portaryte® fillers are also used in various industrial sealant and adhesive applications due to their excellent chemical resistance. The exceptionally high density of baryte makes Portaryte® a filler of choice for sound deadening in automotive and domestic applications (e.g. polyolefin sewer pipes)
