HexPly® M79/M79-LT is a hotmelt, thermosetting, low-exothermic epoxy resin matrix, specifically designed for prepreg applications at which short cure cycles below 100°C are required. M79/M79-LT can be used for manufacture of large industrial components, suitable for cure of thin and thick sections. M79/M79-LT exhibits a long out-life of 8 weeks at ambient conditions. M79 is supplied as moderate tack and M79-LT as low tack resin matrix.

F161 is a structural, heat resistant and electrical grade epoxy formulation designed for autoclave curing. F161 is a high temperature, laminate grade epoxy resin with a 350°F (177°C) cure. F161 is unique in that it was the first resin system to meet all types and classes of MIL-R-9300 B.

HexFlow® VRM37 is a 350°F curing, two-part, mid-toughened epoxy resin, specifically developed to meet the demanding requirements of structural aerospace resin transfer molding (RTM) and vacuum assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM) applications. This epoxy system supports service temperatures up to 250°F. HexFlow® VRM37 Part A is a light amber color; HexFlow® VRM37 Part B is a dark purple color.

HexFlow® RTM6-2 resin is the bi-component version of HexFlow® RTM6 resin. Delivered as two different components, HexFlow® RTM6-2 resin provides several benefits over HexFlow® RTM6: air shipment is allowed, storage at 23± 3°C for 12 months, and bigger packages are possible (up to 378 kg). HexFlow® RTM6-2 resin is chemically the same as RTM6 resin and has the same high performance after mixing Part A and Part B. Their mixing ratio in weight is Part A : Part B (100 : 68.1). After mixing Part A and Part B, service temperatures from -60°C up to 120°C and cycle processing flexibility make HexFlow® RTM6 resin ideal for primary & secondary aerospace structures. Due to the low viscosity of HexFlow® RTM6 resin, there are long injection windows to facilitate large-parts manufacturing. Mixed HexFlow® RTM6-2 resin can be used with a wide range of HexForce®, HiTape® and HiMax™ reinforcements. If needed, binders are also available and fully compatible with HexFlow® RTM6-2 resin. They provide dimensional stability to the reinforcement and ease preforming processes. Mixed HexFlow® RTM6-2 resin, when combined with HiTape® & HiMax™ reinforcements, has comparable mechanical properties to the latest generation prepregs.

HexPly® M21 is a high performance, very tough epoxy matrix for use in primary aerospace structures. It exhibits excellent damage tolerance, especially at high energy impacts. HexPly® M21 is a toughened epoxy resin system supplied with unidirectional or woven carbon or glass fibers. HexPly® M21 was developed as a controlled flow system to operate in environments up at 121°C (250°F).

HexPly® M76 is a versatile curing toughened epoxy resin that can be cured from 275ºF (135ºC) to 350ºF (177ºC), depending on service temperature requirements. HexPly® M76 is formulated for lower temperature autoclave or press mold processing. The recommended lay-up procedure for HexPly® M76 is HSP-L4. The recommended cure procedures are HSP-C5 (275ºF) or HSP-C1 (350ºF).

HexPly® 8552 is a high performance tough epoxy matrix for use in primary aerospace structures. It exhibits good impact resistance and damage tolerance for a wide range of applications. HexPly® 8552 is an amine cured, toughened epoxy resin system supplied with unidirectional or woven carbon or glass fibers. HexPly® 8552 was developed as a controlled flow system to operate in environments up to 121ºC (250ºF).

3501-6 is an amine cured epoxy resin system supplied with unidirectional or woven carbon or glass fibers. Typical reinforcement is continuous AS4 carbon filaments. 3501-6 was developed to operate in a temperature environment of up to 350°F (177°C). AS4/3501-6 is recommended for general purpose structural applications.

HexPly® M34 is an epoxy system, specifically developed for low temperature curing of large structural components, particularly in industrial markets. HexPly® M34 is a self-extinguishing system, providing excellent fire-resistant properties, and meeting the German and French rail qualifications DIN 5510, S3-SR2-ST2 and NF F 16-101 (M2, F1). HexPly® M34 prepreg is ideal for manufacturing sandwich structures, providing excellent adhesion to PVC foam cores. HexPly® M34 exhibits a good shelf life at Room Temperature for a low temperature curing system.

HexPly® 913 is a proven modified epoxy matrix with a low temperature cure cycle which exhibits outstanding environmental resistance, whilst retaining good hot/wet mechanical performance. This versatile matrix system can be processed using a wide range of techniques according to the application and is capable of co cure with epoxy film adhesives. HexPly® 913 is a highly successful matrix used extensively in the aerospace industry for primary aircraft structures and helicopter blades.

HexPly® 8551-7 is an amine-cured, toughened epoxy resin system supplied with unidirectional graphite fibers. Typical reinforcement is continuous IM7 (intermediate modulus) graphite filaments. HexPly® 8551-7 was developed to operate in a temperature environment of up to 200ºF (93ºC). IM7/8551-7 is an extremely damage-resistant system, recommended for structural applications requiring high strength, stiffness, and damage tolerance. Conventional thermoset resin processing equipment and techniques can be used to process IM7/8551-7 prepreg tape.

HexPly® F584™ is a modified epoxy resin combined with novel proprietary converters to give maximum elongation on high strain carbon fibers while retaining a wet service capability of 200°F (93°C). This system offers greater toughness and impact resistance than conventional 350°F (177°C) cure epoxy thermoset resins.

HexPly® M35-4 is a epoxy matrix with excellent mechanical and temperature performances combined with wide process flexibility, designed specifically for the high performance car industry. Curing temperature ranges from 80–180°C providing process flexibility.

HexPly® M47 is a 135°C curing toughened epoxy matrix, self-extinguishing (depending standard used) that has been developed for the high performance car market. The matrix exhibits good strength retention at elevated temperature, good process ability and good surface finish. Its Tg allows HexPly® M47 to be considered as an alternative to 180°C curing matrices when a high loaded part in hot environment (80°C) is required.

HexPly® F155 is a Resin Systems for Advanced Composites

HexPly® M901 is a hotmelt, thermosetting, high-tack epoxy resin matrix, suitable for prepreg applications at which cure cycles of 130°C and above are required. HexPly® M901 is specifically designed for manufacture of structural composites that are exposed to harsh thermal and environmental conditions.

HexPly® 108 is a high temperature resistant epoxy resin system developed for the fabrication of primary aircraft and space structures. 108 has excellent hot wet properties and exhibits low viscosity

HexPly® 1454 is a self-extinguishing epoxy resin system with very high self adhesion properties. It has good handling and is tolerant of a wide range of processing conditions. HexPly® 1454 is ideal for the fabrication of honeycomb sandwich structures when high peel strength and good impact properties are required. HexPly® 1454 prepregs are only available with fabric reinforcements.

HexPly® 6376 is a high performance tough matrix formulated for the fabrication of primary aircraft structures. It offers high impact resistance and damage tolerance for a wide range of high temperature applications.

HexFlow® RTM6 is aerospace qualified resin system specially developed for Direct Processes applications, such as Infusion and RTM. Its service temperatures from - 60°C up to 120°C and cycle processing flexibility make HexFlow® RTM6 ideal for primary & secondary aerospace structures. Long injection windows due to HexFlow® RTM6 low viscosities are easily reached facilitating large parts manufacturing. HexFlow® RTM6 resin can be used in combination with a wide range of HexForce®, HiTape® and HiMax™ reinforcements. If needed, binders are also available and fully compatible with HexFlow® RTM6. They provide easy preforming properties and reinforcement dimensional stability. HexFlow® RTM6 when combined with HiTape® & HiMax™ has comparable mechanical properties to latest generation prepregs.

HexPly 1458 is a self-extinguishing and self-adhesive modified epoxy resin system for monolithic and sandwich structures. HexPly 1458 has excellent temperature and moisture resistance. It has a versatile cure cycle at 160°C to 180°C and it has an excellent shelf life at room temperature. HexPly 1458 prepregs are only available in fabric form.

HexPly® M81 is a high performance tough epoxy matrix for use in industrial applications requiring good impact resistance and damage tolerance, such as the automotive industry. HexPly® M81 is based on the highly successful HexPly® 8552 toughened epoxy resin system, used widely around the world for the manufacture of aircraft structures. Non-aerospace customers now have the opportunity to benefit from the excellent performance of this resin system presented with reinforcements specially adapted for industrial markets.

HexPly® M18/1 is a high performance, self extinguishing, tough epoxy matrix for use in primary aerospace structures. It exhibits low moisture absorption at saturation. HexPly® M18/1 is a toughened epoxy resin system supplied with unidirectional and woven carbon fibers. HexPly® M18/1 was developed as a controlled flow system to operate in environments up to 135ºC.

HexPly® 916 is a self-extinguishing modified epoxy matrix system with very high self adhesive properties. It is an ideal system for single shot honeycomb sandwich manufacture, with good drape characteristics. HexPly® 916 exhibits excellent environmental resistance, and good service temperature capability. HexPly® 916 prepregs are only available in fabric form.

HexPly® M26 is an advance modified epoxy resin developed for aerospace and industrial markets.Its controlled flow, high peel strength on honeycomb cores and excellent fire behavior give it a cost saving potential for interior and secondary sandwich structures. Combined with HexPly® M25 glass phenolic prepregs, it is qualified to Airbus specifications.

HexPly® 6268 is a modified epoxy resin which provides good adhesion to honeycomb core. It is a selfextinguishing matrix system offering good toughness, which is used for aircraft primary and secondary structures. HexPly® 6268 is available in UD carbon and woven aramid, glass and carbon.

HexPly® M77 is a fast curing hotmelt, thermosetting epoxy resin matrix, specifically designed for prepreg applications at which short cure cycles are required. M77 is recommended for curing at 120 – 150°C and is suitable for a range of pressures (5 – 35bar). M77 can be used for manufacture of large industrial components, suitable for cure of thin and thick sections.

HexPly® M27 is specifically designed for applications with fast curing cycles. It is ideally suited for high volume production techniques—in particular for ski manufacture. HexPly® M27 has been specially developed for UDprepregs with high glass fiber weights, e.g., 1637–6548 lbs/ft2 (500–2000 g/m2).

HexPly® M95 is an epoxy resin which meets flammability, smoke, toxicity and heat release requirements for aircraft interiors. It is an alternative to raditional phenolic resins with the advantages of being REACH compliant, providing better mechanical properties and improving the surface aspect. HexPly® M95 epoxy resin is a high Tg epoxy system allowing hot in/hot out extremely fast cure cycles in press. It is an excellent mechanical performance epoxy resin system, suitable for structural and semi-structural parts in the cabin interior with high production rates.

HexPly® M56 is a high performance epoxy matrix developed for out-of-autoclave curing of composite aircraft structures.

HexPly® M73 is a 350°F (177°C) curing toughened resin with 350°F (177°C) dry and 270°F (132°C) wet service capabilities. HexPly® M73 is formulated for autoclave or press molding and can be cured at 350°F for six hours. A two-hour cure at 350°F with two-hour post-cure at 390°F may also be used. Unidirectional tape and woven fabric impregnated with HexPly® M73 resin will retain tack for 10 or more days at room temperature.

HexPly® M20 is an epoxy structural prepreg, designed to provide high temperature performance combined with a low energy cure cycle. Due to its processing flexibility (vacuum bag or autoclave) it is ideally suitable for composite repair. HexPly® M20 cures at 130°C (265°F) to form a tough, high temperature resistant fibrereinforced composite. HexPly® M20 has been chosen as a standardized repair material by the Commercial Aircraft Composite Repair Committee (CACRC) which sets global aerospace standards for composite repair. HexPly® M20 is available as woven carbon and UD carbon tape for structural repairs. The pre-impregnated woven glass version is used for non-structural galvanic corrosion protection.

HexTool® M81 Tooling Compound is randomly layered strips of uni-directional prepreg which is consolidated into rolled goods. It can be utilized as multi-ply quasi-isotropic hand lay-up, and subsequently CNC milled to close tolerance. HexTool® M81 has proved to be dimensionally stable with the ability to hold vacuum integrity before and after machining. Fabricated from Hexcel’s epoxy resin HexPly® M81, HexTool® M81 tools are ideally suited for 120°C to 150°C cure carbon fiber tools but can also accept several cure cycles at 180°C. This makes them also lighter weight, more energy efficient than tools made of steel or aluminum but also more cost-effective with tighter mold tolerance than standard composites tools.

HexPly® M77HF prepreg is a fiber-reinforced modified epoxy resin system specifically designed for bladder molding or sheet wrap tube applications. Unique chemistry provides fully cured parts in only 3 minutes at 300°F (149°C).

HexPly® 922-1 is a structural epoxy resin for general industrial applications and aerospace applications. HexPly® 922-1 has an exceptionally good hot/wet performance and a very high Tg with cure cycle versatility, low viscosity and high flow. Hexply® 922-1 can be processed using a wide range of techniques. The HexPly® 922-1 family is available in fabrics and UD tapes.

HexPly® M10R is a formulated epoxy resin which is suitable for low pressure molding processes. HexPly® M10R is very versatile and allows a range of processing temperature from 85°C up to 150°C. HexPly® M10R can be used for very large industrial components subjected to several environmental conditions and exhibits a very long shelf life at room temperature. HexPly® M10R is used extensively for structural marine applications, recreational markets and a wide variety of industrial applications. HexPly® M10R fulfills REACH compliance.
