European Bacteriological Agar is used as a gelling agent in the preparation of culture media and in other routine microbiological applications. European Bacteriological Agar has a high gel strength of 800-1 100 g/cm2 and is used at concentrations of 1.0%-2.0%.

Extra Low Melting (E. LM) Agaroses are derivatized by organic synthesis which generates methoxylate groups from the basic agarose structure. The main properties of these agaroses are their low melting and gelling temperatures when compared with standard agaroses.

Recommended product for analytical DNA gels ≤1 200 bp and especially PCR products. The presence of DNase and RNase is not detected and there are no DNA Binding properties.

Agarose recommended for DNA analytical gels. At a 2% concentration, it is capable of separating 30-1 500 bp fragments. The presence of DNase and RNase is not detected and does not have DNA Binding properties.

This agarose has an improved resolution efficiency for small DNA fragments (10-1 200 bp) and PCR products. The presence of DNase and RNase is not detected, and its DNA Binding properties are very low.

Is the agarose with the highest molecular sieving capacity; able to separate fragments of very small size with differences of few base pairs. Its gelling / melting temperatures are found in the Low Melt agarose range. Its low viscosity allows to prepare gels of high concentration and therefore increase its sieving capacity.
