- With a unique chemical make-up and rich in Vitamin E and fatty acids, this beautiful, rich, gentle carrier oil is versatile and useful. Colorless to pale yellow, with a thick consistency, and a very mild aroma, Castor oil is cold pressed from the seeds of the Ricinus communis, naturally found in Africa, India and South America but now grown in a wide range of tropical and warmer climates. It has been used for thousands of years, for its therapeutic benefits. Castor oil has antibacterial, antiviral, antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. A gentle oil, it has valuable moisturizing properties and is particularly useful in skin care and hair care products.

- Common Uses
- Massage: Useful in massage products. The oil is anti-inflammatory and antifungal, is easily absorbed and has great moisturizing properties.
- Foot Care: Being antifungal, castor oil is a helpful ingredient in products aimed at fungal infections and athlete's foot. Being highly moisturizing, it is valuable in products for dry skin and cracked heels.
- Hand Care: Useful in hand care products to promote healthier nails. It is a softening and soothing product for the skin.
- Skin Care: With its high fatty acid content, this oil is very hydrating. Its anti-inflammatory properties make it useful in treating sensitive and inflamed skin, and skin issues such as acne, psoriasis and eczema. It is a healing oil, and can be helpful for wounds, burns and scars. A deeply penetrating and hydrating oil, with a high fatty acid content, Castor oil is a valued ingredient in anti-aging products.
