SACO AEI Polymers THERMODAN® HF 0103-212 NT is a flame retardant non-halogen thermoplastic wire and cable compound. It is designed for use in a variety of jacketing applications. This compound has superior fire performance including slow flame propagation, low smoke production and low smoke corrosivity. THERMODAN® HF 0103-212NT can be used as a jacket compound on cables recognized under UL 1277 tray cables and can pass flame retardant requirements set forth under UL 1685, IEEE 1202 and FT-4. THERMODAN® HF 0103-212 NT is recognized under UL 2885 as being halogen free. It is natural in color and UV resistant.

Processing

THERMODAN® HF 0103-212 NT can be processed very easily on a wide range of commercially available extrusion equipment. It can withstand extrusion temperatures up to 425°F, but recommended temperatures are much lower. A typical temperature profile would be:
