Cutting and Grinding Fluids CG 4230 is a rust preventative formulated to protect parts stored indoors for up to 1 year. The product has good water displacing characteristics (CG 4230 will rapidly separate from water and displace moisture from metal surfaces after machining operations or after alkali cleaning), is non-staining, and is practically odorless. CG 4230 is a solvent cutback which works by depositing a thin, transparent, polar film over the parts after the solvent evaporates. The coating is not easily fractured and possesses residual protective characteristics, even if part of the compound is wiped or rubbed from the metal surface. Due to surface-active characteristics in CG 4230, the coating will creep over uneven or unclean surfaces to insure a continuous film. It can thus be used on porous metals and parts with deep crevices, insuring 100% coverage.

Cutting and Grinding Fluids CG 4221 is formulated with a proprietary blend of anti-corrosion additives, base oils, and solvent, making for an easily applied full coverage rust preventative. This product is ideal for use when parts have been processed through water solutions, and when they will be exposed to changes in humidity, salt corrosion, or acidic environments. CG 4221 deposits a thin, transparent, light oil film that is not easily disturbed during shipping and handling. Additionally, the product is non- staining and is safe to use on coiled or stacked metals. It is also non-corrosive to a variety of non-ferrous metals including copper, aluminum, zinc, magnesium, brass, and cadmium.
