Acrodur® acrylic resins are available as an aqueous solution. They are self-cross-linking and without formaldehyde release. BTC’s range of Acrodur® types gives decorative foils, filters, and wallpaper excellent mechanical properties. Acronal® types with specific properties give the best performance for mineral, glass fibers, and natural fibers (acrylic resins as a binding agent). Acronal® latexes are based on styrene-acrylate polymers and provide optimum printability and low yellowing tendency.

VersaCompTM original was created to be a lower cost alternative to Curv®. It is achieved this by reducing the complexity of construction and color options without sacrificing its impact resistance. VersaComp original is also recyclable.

XEGLASS™ thermoplastic composites family represents the range of products highly reinforced with glass fiber on technical bases. Due to their stiffness and mechanical resistance, XEGLASS™ thermoplastic composites are used for specific structural applications which withstand stress and creep, maintaining great impact features. In spite of the high fiber content, the optimization during the production phase allows an easy processability with the most common transformation technologies.

G-Etronax is an all-in-one material. This is because the carefully composed resins combined with the glass base result not only in exceptional resistance but also amazing electrotechnical properties, making G-Etronax suitable for countless applications. G-Etronax is incredibly strong and retains its high mechanical strength even at high temperatures. This material thus has a high thermal stability, and some types of G-Etronax can be used at up to 210°C. Certain selected qualities are also fire-retardant, which is why just the thermal properties alone make G-Etronax a highly versatile material. Add its extremely good electrical insulation properties, low water absorption and high machinability, and you can see that the applications of G-Etronax are virtually limitless.

SKYBOND is a varnish that is composed of aromatic polyimides, which are one of the most thermally stable organic materials. The products originally developed by Monsanto(USA) are polymide precursors which, when properly cured, yield composites and adhesives with the highest thermal stability of any commercially available resin system. In April 1996, I.S.T acquired the right of manufacture and sales of the varnish. After acquiring SKYBOND, it was manufactured at our I.S.T factory on the premises of Solutia's Indian Orchard plant in Massachusetts. In 2014 we moved SKYBOND® plant to I.S.T New Jersey factory (inside DuPont) and now we are manufacturing SKYBOND in there. Polyimide prepreg or honeycomb composite materials can be made combining SKYBOND with glass, carbon, or aramid fibers, that have superb thermal-resistance and flexibility. In addition the varnish is used as a thermal-resistant adhesive material or sealing agent.

Curv® original is the first self-reinforced thermoplastic, offering superb impact resistance in countless colors and finishes. It is also recyclable.
