Catalyst Ingredients

IAM Catalyst is a catalyst used for ring opening polymerization of cyclic siloxanes. This product decomposes at more than 120°C with the release of trimethylamine. It is commonly used in polymer manufacturing.

STEPANATE® PTSA-C is a crystalline p-toluene sulfonic acid used as an intermediate in fine chemical manufacture, dye and pigment manufacture, metalworking, and catalyzing crosslinking reactions. Holding kosher certification makes it applicable in industrial products and institutional and industrial cleaning markets, particularly in cutting fluids and foundry catalysts.

CHROMATOCEL® A-150 is an acidic granular/powdered activated alumina, specifically designed for chromatography, batch extractions, and decolorizations. It serves as an effective general adsorbent for impurities as well. The optimized particle size, surface area, pH, and purity of CHROMATOCEL® A-150 make it particularly valuable for separating small molecules, peptides, lipids, alkaloids, and various other compounds.

DYNOCEL® 900 is a 20 x 50 mesh granular alumina scavenger designed to eliminate process impurities from vapor or liquid phase streams, whether aqueous or hydrocarbon. It serves as a highly effective desiccant in all applications, with a particular advantage in removing low-level polar and/or ionic species. Its high porosity facilitates faster diffusion rates, while the extensive surface area offers enhanced capacity. This adsorbent is widely utilized for extracting impurities across a diverse range of applications.

POLYCAT® DBU is a powerful gel catalyst that offers excellent curing properties at high temperatures, specifically for artificial turf applications. It is a tertiary amine known as diazobicycloundecene (DBU), which greatly enhances the urethane reaction (polyol-isocyanate) in various applications such as semi-flexible microcellular foam, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers.

CHROMATOCEL® N-060 is a gamma-phase granular/powdered activated alumina, specifically designed for chromatography, batch extractions, and decolorizations. DABCO® NE 310 is an emission-optimized amine that facilitates the urea (water-isocyanate) reaction within the polyurethane matrix, thereby contributing to low emissions. This versatile compound finds application in molded and high-density foam processes, ensuring compliance with OEM emission specifications, such as VDA 278. Furthermore, it serves in flexible polyether and polyester slabstock applications, meeting requirements set by Certipur®, LGA, or Oeko-Tex® standards. As an emission-optimized alternative to DABCO® BL 11, DABCO® NE 310 offers a reliable solution for reducing environmental impact in various manufacturing processes.

POLYCAT® 5 is a tertiary amine-blowing catalyst applicable in various rigid and flexible polyurethane foam applications. It is highly effective in continuous and discontinuous MDI rigid foam applications and can also be used in TDI, TDI/MDI, and MDI high-resilience (HR) flexible molded foams, as well as in integral skin and microcellular systems.
