Techtron® PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) products are a high-performance polymer that offers excellent resistance to chemicals, high temperatures, and moisture. They are widely used in a variety of applications where precision, durability, and safety are required. These products have no known solvents below 200 °C (392 °F) and offer exceptional resistance to steam, strong bases, fuels, and acids. The minimal moisture absorption and a very low coefficient of linear thermal expansion make them ideal for precise tolerance machined components. Additionally, Techtron PPS products have excellent electrical characteristics and are inherently flame-retardant.Key features:High mechanical strength, stiffness, and creep resistance, even at elevated temperaturesExcellent chemical and hydrolysis resistanceExcellent wear and frictional behaviorVery good dimensional stabilityPhysiologically inert (suitable for food contact)Excellent resistance to high energy radiation (gamma- and X-rays)Good UV-resistanceInherent low flammabilityGood electrical insulating and dielectric propertiesBenefits:Improved performance and durability of components in demanding environmentsIncreased resistance to chemicals, high temperatures, and moistureEnhanced precision and dimensional stabilitySafe and reliable use in food contact and electrical applicationsInherent flame-retardant propertiesTechtron® PPS is available in a range of shapes and sizes, making it easy to incorporate into your designs.
