The FORAHA oil produced in Madagascar is interesting because of its differentiation. Nevertheless, it is found in other countries such as Tahiti, Thailand.

The Aguaje also know as Buriti, is a palm tree, from Arecaceae family. It produces an elliptic drupe shaped fruit from December to April, with 4-5cm of diameter. It is reddish and has a scaly texture. Traditionally, Alguaje Palm Fruit are consumed in juices and ice creams because there are high in Vitamin C. By squeezing the flesh of the seeds of the fruit, you get Buriti Oil. Buriti oil is an orange-reddish oil extracted from the fruit. The oil contains high concentrations of oleic acid, tocopherol and carotenoids, especially Beta-carotene.
