Crys-Talc® 4H can also be used in polymer applications for improving stiffness, HDT, and dimensional stability in natural color applications requiring higher brightness. It is used in polyethylene, polypropylene, PVC and other plastic based applications to achieve maximum stiffness and is available in densified or compacted form to improve feeding, enhance extrusion throughput and reduce dusting. Crys-Talc® 4H may also be use in rigid packaging, appliances, and thermoformed products to:
- increase modulus of elasticity, modulus of rupture, and HDT
- reduce water diffusion, weight gain and swell in water, loss of elasticity and rupture modulus in moist environments
- improve warpage, creep, dimensional stability and elastic recovery
