- AFCONA - 2038 is the same category of defoamer as AFCONA – 2018, but AFCONA – 2038 contains silicone while AFCONA 2018 does not. In many resin systems, AFCONA – 2038 provides the same defoaming capabilities but gives better transparency than AFCONA – 2018.
- In solvent-free epoxy systems, combining AFCONA-2038 with AFCONA – 2722 or AFCONA – 2725 will improve the defoaming effect tremendously.

AFCONA-2038 is recommended for the following systems when in-can haziness is undesirable and high transparency is needed:
- Polyurethane coatings for wood, plastic and car refinish
- Acid-cured coatings for wood, etching/wash primer
- NC lacquers for wood, general industrial paint and car refinish
- Other solvent-based systems
- Incorporation
- AFCONA-2038 can be incorporated at any stage during processing or after mixing. This product may even be incorporated even by hand stirring, if necessary.
- Addition and Dosage
- 0.1 - 1.0% on total formulation. Under normal conditions, 0.30 - 0.50% based on total formulation is sufficient.

- AFCONA - 2038 should be stored in a cool, dry place. When stored in its original, unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiration date is indicated on the container.
