AFCONA 3250 is an additive designed to provide the highest slip in all solvent-based coatings without stabilizing foam. It is specially developed for all solvent-based systems where slip is the most important factor and foam stabilization is undesirable. AFCONA 3250 belongs to the same family as AFCONA 3230. But while AFCONA 3230 is effective only in polyurethane coatings, AFCONA 3250 works in all solvent-based coatings.

AFCONA – 3250 offers very good slip, no foam stabilization, and good transparency.

AFCONA – 3250 is very suitable for use in:

  1. All wood coating systems, such as NC, acid curing, PU and UV.
  2. Topcoats in plastic coating applications such as mobile phones and other plastic items that are frequently touched by our hands.
  3. UV coatings, where it offers very good slip and leveling without influencing the clarity of the paint film.
  4. Refinish topcoats based on polyurethane.
  5. Other paint systems where high slip is desired.

Note: AFCONA – 3250 will become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5° C. This will not influence the performance of the product. 

Incorporation
AFCONA-3250 may be added at any stage during the production process.
Addition and Dosage
AFCONA-3250 may be added at 0.05 - 0.50% based on total formulation. Under normal conditions 0.10 - 0.30% based on total formulation is sufficient.

Storage Information
AFCONA-3250 should be stored in a cool, dry place. When kept in its original, unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiration date is indicated on the container
