- Product Highlights
- Pangel B20 is a particularly recommended for systems based on aromatic and unsaturated polyester type solvents.
- Pangel B20 provides thixotropic, suspension and properties to systems based on aromatic and unsaturated polyester type solvents.
- It is recommended to add Pangel B20 sagging-resistance directly with the high shear equipment container, disk size and solid contents must be appropriate for the mixture to flor producing the doughnut effect at a high peripheral speed recommended addition sequence is: Resin/solvents, additives, pigments, fillers and Pangel B20.
- This is the additive of choice when only low shear equipment is available. Adding Pangel B20 as pregel, use of aromatic or unsaturated polyester type solvent is recommended, using a high-shear dispersion system and ensuring a laminar flow with doughnut effect during the pregel preparation.
- To ensure a good doughnut effect at high peripheral speed, increase the amount of Pangel B20.
- Key Features
- Pangel B20 provides a strongly pseudoplastic character, Producing high consistency levels without affecting viscosity during application. It exhibitsits high effectiveness as anti- setting additive in formulations with high solid contents. Use of Pangel B20 has the following advantages against other conventional additives:
- Coatings and paints: prevent setting of pigments and fillers; controls sagging without aggravating leveling; high stability during transportation and storage.
- Printing inks: Improves consistency and prevents setting of pigments.
- Unsaturated polyester putties: Improves consistency and workability.
- Paint strippers: Improves stability and facilitates stripping action.
- Greases based on vegetal oils: High thickening capacity; good stability and high temperature.
- High thickening capacity; application in thicker payers; sagging control in asphalt coatings.
- Sealants and joints: Improve wetting and suspension properties; controls sliding.
- Others: Control of sagging and dripping; improves stability.
