AEROSIL® R 816 fumed silica powder offers an alternative technology to stabilize oil/water emulsions. Due to the special surface modification of the silica both hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties are introduced in just one material. This enables AEROSIL® R 816 to enrich at oil/water interfaces and thereby stabilize oil droplets in a continuous water phase by the Pickering effect.Furthermore, AEROSIL® R 816 brings structure to the continuous water phase and increases its viscosity which limits the mobility of the oil droplets, thereby providing for even more emulsion stability.

AEROSIL® R 208 is a fumed silica aftertreated with polydimethylsiloxane with excellent thickening properties.

AEROSIL® 200 HV is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 200 m²/g.

SIPERNAT® 50 S is a hydrophilic, finely milled silica. Besides its application as flow aid and highly effective anticaking agent it also may serve as carrier of especially high absorptive capacity in case particle fineness is required.

AEROSIL® R 202 is a hydrophobic fumed silica grade, treated with a polydimethylsiloxane. This product can be used in defoamer formulations for sedimentation stabilization and due to its high hydrophobicity as defoaming component.

AEROSIL® R 812 S is hydrophobic fumed silica grade treated with HMDS (Hexamethyldisilazane). It is even more hydrophobic than AEROSIL® R 812 and convenient for stabilizing a defoamer and well suitable as a component of foam control agents.

AEROXIDE® Alu C is a fine-particulate, pure aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) with high specific surface area and marked aggregate and agglomerate structure. Because of it high purity and low water content, the product can be used well as an additive to anorganic materials, for heat insulation, and also as a catalyst substrate. The positive surface charge can be used to control the electrostatic charge.

AEROSIL® R 805 is a high thickening fumed silica surface treated with OCTMO.

SPHERILEX® 30 AB is a very fine particle size specialty precipitated silica, which has attractive properties for antiblocking application of polymer films. As shown in antiblocking testing, its spherical particle morphology and uniform particle size distribution provides optimal clarity and antiblocking efficiency in plastic films. Based on its low absorptivity it performs also excellent in combination with slip agents. High masterbatch loadings are possible due to its easy incorporation and dispersion during thermoplastic compounding process.

ZEOFREE® 80 is a finely milled, hydrophilic silica. It is primarily used as a free-flow agent in other applications. ZEOFREE® 80 can also be used in-situ hydrophobized in defoamers. The use of an alkaline catalyst is recommended.

AEROSIL® R 106 is a hydrophobic fumed silica after treated with D4 (Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane).

AEROSIL® R 8200 is a structure modified hydrophobic silica grade treated with HMDS (Hexamethyldisilazane). It is characterized by an extremely low thickening effect and high compacted bulk density. Its high hydrophobicity makes it suitable as a defoamer silica.

ZEOFREE® 5162 is a finely milled, hydrophilic silica. It is primarily used as a free-flow agent in other applications. ZEOFREE® 5162 can also be used in-situ hydrophobized in defoamers. The use of an alkaline catalyst is recommended.

AEROSIL® 300 is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 300 m²/g.

SIPERNAT® 500 LS is a very finely ground silica with high surface area, low drying loss and particulary high absorbency.

AEROXIDE® Alu C 805 is a fine-particulate, fumed aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) that is highly hydrophobized with an organosilane.

AEROSIL® R 972 is hydrophobic fumed silica grade treated with DDS (Dichlordimethylsilane). The moderate hydrophobicity of these AEROSIL® products is suited for defoaming properties in the presence of appropriate hydrophobic liquids. They are recomended for improving the sedimentation stability of defoamer dispersions as well.

AEROSIL® 200 is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 200 m²/g.

SIPERNAT® D 17 is a hydrophobic (i.e., not wettable by water) silica also used in defoamer.

AEROSIL® R 812 is hydrophobic fumed silica grade treated with HMDS (Hexamethyldisilazane). It can be used for sedimentation stabilization and due to its high hydrophobicity as defoaming agent.

SIPERNAT® 50 is a hydrophilic, coarse silica with the highest absorptive capacity and a high surface area. It is capable of transforming any liquid solution, water- or oil-based systems into dry powder concentrates of up to 75%.

AEROSIL® OX 50 is a fumed silica with a very low specific surface area, low thickening, and high purity. The product can be used as an additive or as a raw material. In polymer composites, high filler loading can be achieved, making it possible to control essential characteristics of polymers.

ZEOFREE® 600 Calcium Silicate has a high-absorptive carrier capacity that absorbs liquids, turning them into free-flowing powder with concentrations up to 75%.

AEROXIDE® TiO₂ P 25 isa fine-particulate, pure titanium dioxide (TiO₂) with high specific surface area and marked aggregate and agglomerate structure. Because of its high purity, high specific surface area, and unique combination of anatase and rutile crystal structure, the product is suitable for many catalytic and photocatalytic applications. Its structure also makes it suitable for use as an effective UV filter.

AEROSIL® R 974 is hydrophobic fumed silica grades treated with DDS (Dichlordimethylsilane). The moderate hydrophobicity of these AEROSIL® products is suited for defoaming properties in the presence of appropriate hydrophobic liquids. They are recommended for improving the sedimentation stability of defoamer dispersions as well.

AEROSIL® 380 is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 380 m²/g.

ZEOFREE® 5161 is a hydrophilic, coarse silica combining a high absorptive capacity with a good flowability. It is well suited to transform any type of liquid, including defoamers, into dry, free flowing powder concentrates.
