Some say refined oils have impurities removed, this is true in a sense as they typically have longer shelf life than Virgin oils. Rosehip oil has been cold-pressed from the crushed fruit and seeds of a certain variety of wild rose plant, specifically rosa canina, endemic to Chile. After the rose petals have dropped the distinctive red fruit is harvested. The fruit is also called the hip, hence the name Rosehip. Rosehip oil is high in vitamins such as vitamin C and A, a rich source of antioxidants and essential fatty acids. These vitamins can help reduce signs of skin aging and may help prevent fine lines. The Azadirachta indica botanical, better known as the Neem Tree, is believed to have originated in either India or Burma. When it was discovered that the tree can thrive in any warm, dry regions, migrating Indians introduced it to other lands including Africa, Fiji, Mauritius, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Cambodia. Its resistance to droughts and its tolerance to heat are factors that contribute to its long lifespan of up to 200 years. Neem is well known for its beneficial effects on the skin and in scalp disorders. Its antibacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and fungicide properties, make it perfect for itchy, dry hair and scalp conditions. It helps restore body and shine to dry, damaged and delicate hair and helps mend the appearance of split ends. Considered by the people of India to be sacred, the Neem tree has come to symbolize good health and protection. Traditionally Neem oil was used topically to address such ailments as fevers, respiratory issues, tetanus infections, rheumatism, arthritis, jaundice, malaria, ringworm, lice, fungal and bacterial infections of the skin, scabies, hives, eczema, psoriasis, and gastrointestinal diseases. Conventional or organic available Macadamia - Macadamia integrifolia - is a tree in the Proteaceae family, native to Queensland in Australia. The Macadamia is a medium-sized tree which can grow to approximately 20 m in height with a similar crown width, giving the tree a rounded shape its leaves are simple with toothed margins and are 7 to 15 cm in length. The flowers are white or pinkish followed by woody, rounded fruits which are 2 to 3.5 cm in diameter. The story of the macadamia began thousands of years ago, in the rainforest along the north east coast of Australia. Before European settlement, Aboriginal people congregated on the eastern slopes of Australia’s Great Dividing Range to feed on the seed of two evergreen trees, one of which they called ‘Kindal Kindal’ which was the macadamia. Aboriginal people had other names for macadamia including Boombera, Jindill & Baupal. Macadamias were not staple fare they were considered a delicacy and were treasured and collected wherever they were found. They were also traded between tribes and used as special ceremonial gifts at inter-tribal corroborees. Aboriginal women would collect macadamias in their coolamons or dilly bags and take them to their feasting grounds. They would remove the husk and crack the shells using stones with special indentations. This technique involved placing the flat indented stone over the nut and then striking it with a larger stone, delivering an even force and minimizing the damage to the kernel. Available as Refined and Unrefined.

Conventional or organic available Eucalyptus radiata is loved for its fresh, pungent, and fruity aroma. Rich in cineoles, it is considered the most therapeutically versatile of all eucalyptus oils. It has the gentlest aroma of the Eucalypts but is still as potent as other oils. Belonging to the Myrtaceae family, Eucalyptus radiata is an evergreen tree which grows up to 15 meters (48ft) in height, although occasionally some trees achieve 30 meters (97ft). It is a graceful tree with a weeping habit and a dense, spreading, pendulous crown. Its leaves are glossy and lanceolate (tapering to a point) with a strong aromatic fragrance. The bark is fibrous and gray-brown in color, with smaller branches that become smoother. The Aborigines used a wide range of natural plant remedies, and these would vary from tribe to tribe according to the indigenous species that were available to them. Wherever any species of eucalyptus grew they were used to heal wounds, cuts and burns, as well as treat various respiratory conditions. Steam distillation of the fresh or semi-dried leaves and twigs yields a colorless volatile oil that has a fresh, camphoraceous aroma with a slightly herbaceous and woody backnote. In general, the aroma of radiata is warmer, sweeter and softer than other Eucalypts. The natural chemistry is also noticeably different to the globulus, typically containing a less 1,8 cineole which is the component that imparts its medicinal-type odor. The essential oil of Eucalyptus Radiata is extracted via steam distillation of the leaves and green branchlets. The tree leaves are hand harvested and steam distilled immediately. White Cypress Leaf essential oil is a new player in the Australian native arena. There are approximately 16 species of Cypress Pines in Australia, 14 of which are native. The White Cypress pine has a strong place in Indigenous Australian culture (oars, resin and medicine) and now essential oil production. This oil is distilled from the leaf on Wiradjuri land, has a strong, fresh sweet pine aroma. It may be used in aromatherapy to ground and calm. White Cypress pine has a high alpha-pinene component that makes it useful for antiseptic and anti-inflammatory use. The White Cypress harvest is part of a regeneration project that is improving the population of the endangered Pink Wormtail Lizard. By stripping out selected trees the forest floor has access again to sunlight critical to developing vegetation and insect species that the lizard thrives upon. Further, the spent biomass of the White Cypress Wood after steam distillation is currently being tested as a potential product to develop commercial building panels in city high rises.
